An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedI've commented on here multiple times, but just felt the need to vent about this horrible update yet again. There's not a day that goes by that I don't curse Acrobat at least 10 times a day because it's making my job so difficult for no reason. It's been forever and no response from Acrobat tells me they just don't care. If I wasn't so tied to this program on multiple levels, I would have ditched it months ago.
An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedVery well written and points out all the issues and irritations I came here to voice. Apparently, Adobe doesn't care AT ALL about any of this because it's nearly Aug. 2024 and they still haven't fixed any of this.

An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedWhile the latest post from Shashank Jain is what it is, nothing we've brought up as concerns has been addressed and we're basically being told to either get used to it or get lost. Why should I, as the user, have to find ways to "make the program limp along for me" when it worked just fine before the update?
Why do I constantly find myself cursing Acrobat and screeching, "I HATE Acrobat" every time I need to do pretty much anything other than view a pdf at 75%?
Why do you have to constantly switch back and forth between the hand tool to scroll left and right and edit pdf? Why can't those two things work together?
Why do I have to fight with the enlarged view of complicated pdfs and the incessant redrawing of the page?
Why is no one at Adobe actually using this program in a professional way to see what the problems are with the "new" Acrobat?
Why? Why? Why?
It's pretty obvious that Adobe really doesn't care about its professional users and is just going to do what it wants regardless. The frustration level is huge!
An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedI have a better idea - revert to the version that worked correctly - the one everybody liked (not the one it's reverting to now, but the one before that). Once you've done that and everyone can do their jobs again, then you can start over adding changes that people have actually requested. Change just to try to stay relevant is not a good thing for Adobe or its customers. No one wants to spend hours trying to figure out how to do what they need because you've given them a forced update that makes your program nearly impossible to work with. If your product works well and you aren't getting a bunch of complaints or suggestions for how to make it better - LEAVE IT ALONE!

Hi,
Thanks for your response. Please write us in case you face any issue.
Best Regards!
An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedI don't this was a bug. I think someone had the bright idea to eliminate the page size and the scroll bars to "streamline" the look. Problem is, they forgot about the functionality when they did this. If you make your product unusable, there are going to be complaints and defections. The people doing the updates really need to get a clue about how professionals use their product, and then leave the basic functions alone - as in don't move them, don't change the way you access them and for heaven's sake don't eliminate them!
An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedMaximillian, if you turn off the preference that says always show document size, it magically makes it appear if you hover the mouse over the left bottom corner. Go figure! It also works the same for showing bleed.
An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedI have checked the box "always display page size" but it does not display. This is yet another function I used multiple times a day that has been "disappeared" by Adobe's latest update. If there was a software comparable to Acrobat, I would definitely switch! I am so tired of wasting time trying to figure out how to do things every time there's an update!

An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedSanjeeb, as you can tell from the many, many complaints from users - the changes are NOT good and they are NOT helpful. They made features that professionals use multiple times a day more difficult to find, use or just plain made them disappear. This program is supposed to be for professional use, so it doesn't really need to cater to those who need simplified use. Professionals want to be able to access the functions they need in order to do their jobs - without having to look for them, turn them on with each new document, or perform workarounds to get the results they used to have before the update. I think Adobe really needs to figure out who their users are and quit interfering with our work flow!

An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedIt seems that Adobe doesn't really care how users feel about their product - they know we're stuck with it, so we can just deal with it. I'm not sure how Adobe figured out what tools I personally use most and then hid them, but they did a great job of that! As pRowe commented, rearranging things just because your team is bored is not helpful for your users. I personally do not enjoy spending extra time I do not have trying to figure out a program that I knew inside-out just the day before. It's extremely irritating and wastes my time. I realize Adobe probably doesn't care about that, but it bothered me enough that I took some time, again that I don't have, to comment repeatedly about this new and irritating update.

An error occurred while saving the comment Robin Surface commentedSo, basically what Ashish from Adobe is saying is, "Too bad you don't like this and it makes things more difficult for you - we're not changing anything and you'll learn to live with it!"
What benefits are these changes supposed to be giving the user? From my perspective, there are none - only problems.

Shashank Jain, we have all been telling you specifically the issues we've been having for over a year - just read through the hundreds of comments here.
These are just a few of my problems with it, even when I revert to the previous update:
Inability to handle complex pdf files and constantly redraws the page when you try to enlarge past 75%.
No horizontal or vertical scroll bars (extremely irritating), forcing you to use the mouse for vertical, and hand tool for horizontal, which does not work in conjunction with the edit tool.|
Ridiculous pop-up tool bars that cover the area you're trying to edit and cannot be disabled.
These are just a few of the things mentioned in this forum.
Paying professional users should not have to relearn your program every time your designers decide they want to "spruce up" the program. I do not have time in my schedule to re-educate myself about the "new" options in your program that came about only because you've decided you want to make aribtrary changes to make your program seem relevant.
If there is no discernable benefit to the user, then THE CHANGE(S) SHOULD NOT BE MADE! This, I think, is the whole point of all of our messages here. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Either give us updates that make our lives easier, or just leave things alone. And, for the love of everything good, do not tell us we need to just get used to it and then give us links to tutorials! It's not about learning curves, it's about your utter disregard for what your professional users want and need.
Counterintuitive tool placement with no added benefit to be seen, and an inability to revert to the old placement within the new update. (Users DO NOT LIKE IT when things are rearranged for no reason - it slows down their workflow and causes unnecessary irritation. ) I mean, why move tools to the left when they have always been located on the right, and vice-versa. What benefit does this give the user?
