  1. Printing locally from Adobe Acrobat Pro DC has never worked despite multiple "fixes"

I have CC full suite and from the day I had to install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC I have been unable to print locally from any open PDF. I have tried multiple fixes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I've updated the printer drivers and had my IT support look at it. And now that this program is embedded in everything, I can't event go back to Acrobat XI. If I'm lucky I can export the PDF as an image or word document and print from there, but if I'm looking at document that's large that is just simply…

    • This product will not operate a printer.

This product will not operate a printer. There needs to be a print option that works.

      • Append a PDF option when using Adobe PDF print feature

Why is the option to append an existing PDF not available when using the Adobe PDF printer??? I have to use a competitor software to have that feature.

        • Print Error by Internet-Documents with quotation marks

When printing an Internet-Document from Firefox 57 the print generates multiple errors if the title of the document to print contains quotation marks. The error box mentions: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2015\Acrobat\Intellektuelle" Diese Datei kann nicht geöffnet werden." (The file could not be opened. Verify the correct location." - should be the approximate translation.)

Where the "Intellektuelle" is the first word of the documet title inside the quotation marks. The same error appears for every word in the title and one additional time. The PDF finally generated contains only part of the document to print. You could try it with the…

          • Two-sided printing does not work with Acrobat Pro and HP OfficeJet 8710

I have spent the past few months troubleshooting with HP Technicians and have determined that there is a bug when trying to print double-sided documents in Acrobat Pro (DC) using a HP OfficeJet 8710 printer on a Mac. The documents print reverse meaning that for a 3-page document, pages 2 and 3 print double-sided on one sheet of paper while page 1, prints separately. This does not occur with any other HP printers

                • Use printer default setting for double-sided printing

Currently Adobe Acrobat DC does not recognise if the default printer setting on my mac has been set to duplex. There is a work around. By pressing the printer button and selecting 'duplex' from the print dialogue box that is revealed, pdfs can be printed double sided (DC warns against doing this by the way). The trouble is that it is easy to forget to follow this process, particularly when I am in a hurry, with the result that pdfs, in my case often 20 or 30 pages documents, are printed single sided. This wastes paper, is environmentally unfriendly and…

                  • printing multiple copies of a pdf file with odd number of pages double sided

I print multiple copies of a pdf file with 7 pages double sided.

Acrobat Pro on my mac prints page 1 of the second copy on the back side of page 7 of the first copy. This is wrong.

Other pdf viewer on my mac, and Acrobat Pro on my Windows laptop connected to the same printer prints correctly. The back side of page 7 of the first copy is blank. Page 1 of the second copy starts on a new sheet of paper.

Printer: Canon MB5320 with most recent driver.

                    Adobe Acrobat 11.0.20

                    Mac OS 10.12.4

                      Hi,

                      Thanks for reporting.
We will look into this issue.

                    • Add the Ability for Adobe PDF printer to print via Autodesk's Revit. The only alternatives are prohibitively expensive.

Can you please fix the bugs in the PDF printer plugin that works with Autodesk's Revit. The program is very inconsistent and sometime just stall entirely. This would be very helpful to many users of Revit.

                        Hi,

We need the version of acrobat being used by the customer to investigate this issue.
As for now, for Acrobat 11.0.21, this issue is already under investigation

                      • Shared image becomes blur while converting from PS to PDF using Distiller 11

We created sample PDF file with shared image at page #1, #2 and normal image at page #3 and extracted PS file for the same. while converting the PS to PDF file using Acrobat Disteller 10/11/DC we are able to see the shared images at page #1 and #2 becomes blur in the output PDF file, but while converting the PS to PDF file using Acrobat Disteller 9 we are able to see the shared images looks GOOD in the output PDF file.

                          • Portfolio Printing

When printing a portfolio, the document print in the order they are named. Could you create an option for the portfolio to print in the order the files are in the portfolio? We use Adobe Acrobat for all our bulk printing tasks, and we have to rename the files to make sure they print in order.

                              • Incorrect PDF generated by distiller

When distilling attached Postscript the generated PDF shows error when opening. I have narrowed it down to an image which has imagemask set to true as well as mask array in it. This is incorrect as per specification.

I am using Adobe Acrobat 10.0.0.

                                • Injection of blank pages for printing

When printing long documents (books etc.) it would be great to be able to add blank pages, that does not exist in the PDF in order to get a correct double sided print. The size of the blank page could e.g. depend on the page size before the blank.

                                  • Adobe is overly secure. I pay $200 / year, and I cant seem to print to PDF.

Please make Adobe like it used to be, where I don't have to hack into my account just to print a document to PDF, only to have it tell me it can't print because my account is not activated. I just paid $200 last month for my yearly fee. Can I get my money back??????

                                      Hi,

Thanks for your valuable feedback. Can you please share following details:
                                      which license are you using?
What error you are getting while printing?

                                      Best Regards!

                                    • Restrict 'Save As'

Currently, you can restrict print and save, but cannot restrict Save As. Would like to see that restriction added as well.
                                      Thanks for your consideration.

                                      • Acrobat 11 Standard prints garbled CID fonts

Acrobat 11 Standard version 11.0.20 with latest updates, Windows 2008 R2 OS.
Plugin built with Acrobat 11 SDK, c++ source code inspected by Adobe experts here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/9672015#9672015
Rendering PDF including CID: after several correct prints, the print gets garbled. Restart Acrobat or logoff user does NOT fix garbling. Only VM reboot fixes garbled rendering.

                                        • … /PAGELABEL pdfmark does not allow pdf encoding

In Distiller Pro XI 11.0.20 (28/03/2017), and in many earlier versions, pdfmark is inconsistent about whether strings should be plain ASCII or in the pdf encoding. In particular, “… /Title String /OUT pdfmark” can be in the PDF encoding, but “/Label String /PAGELABEL pdfmark” must be plain ASCII.

                                          Example PostScript:

                                          %!PS

                                          /Times-Bold 48 selectfont
                                          /StringASCII (ASCII-encoded string) def
                                          /StringPDF (PDF-\351\361\347\370\360\353\360 \235tr\232\361g) def % Silly accents

36 36 moveto (ASCII string) show
                                          mark /Dest /Page1ASCII /DEST pdfmark
                                          mark /Action /GoTo /Dest /Page1ASCII /Title StringASCII /Count 0 /OUT pdfmark
                                          mark /Label StringASCII /PAGELABEL pdfmark
                                          showpage

                                          36 36 moveto (PDF-encoded string) show
                                          mark…
