  1. My issue appears similar to the unaddressed Dec. 2025 report titled “the printing window always shows up with 2 copies preset to print.” I am adding my case because the issue is still occurring in Acrobat Pro: the print dialog permanently defaults to 2 copies even after changing it back to 1.
This appears to have started after I printed 2 copies once, and Acrobat now treats that as the permanent default. This is only happening in Acrobat; Word and other programs still default to 1 copy, so it does not appear to be a printer-driver default.
    I have tried…

  2. Printing some forms and documents from Acrobat Pro works while others don't. The application opens the printer (HP M454dw with the latest firmware), but then never prints and never generates an error message.
However, printing the same document that fails to print in Acrobat Pro works in the free version of Acrobat Reader.
It also works with Apple's Preview app. Only the Pro version of Acrobat seems to experience a problem

  4. I am writing to formally report a bug that has persisted across multiple versions of Adobe Acrobat and affects virtually every professional user in business environments.
    The Problem
After every major Acrobat update, the "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" setting in the Adobe PDF printer resets to checked, causing print-to-PDF jobs to fail and generate error log files instead of PDF output. The only resolution is to manually uncheck the setting after each update, either through Printing Preferences or Printer Defaults.
This has been documented in Adobe community forums dating back well over four years,…

  5. The Copies field Acrobat's Print setup window is too narrow to accommodate three digits; it only shows two (even though it will capture three digits.) Widen the field so it will accommodate three digits.

  6. Double sided printing prints on short side no matter what option I choose or my paralegal, on a separate machine, chooses. No problem using Preview. Acrobat is now useless to us.

  7. There is an existing similar request/report from 2021 that has yet to be addressed, but I voted for it and will post this to help it along

I am trying to use the Adobe PDF printer with Driver Adobe PDF Converter in a production environment. I have set up an Adobe Output Folder, unchecked “View PDF results”, unchecked “Rely on system fonts”, and set up a custom Paper Size. I have set these using Print Management, both the Printing Defaults and the Printing Preferences.

I am told on the Community forum that whenever there is an Acrobat update these settings…

  8. The validation / preflight profiles needs to be up to date.
Therefore the Acrobat pro Cloud service should include newest GWG profile (2022) - and user should be able to add new kpfx files in future.

  9. Not sure why a paid subscription version of acrobat performs at a lower level than a free microsoft pdf printer. Acrobat needs to be able to understand and read custom fonts added to the windows font directory. If users had to custom locate fonts for every piece of sofware that uses them, work would never get done. Seriously, this is a fail.

  10. Version Adobe Acrobat Reader : 25.001.20744.0
    Windows version : Windows 11 24H2 build 26100.6584
    Ricoh Printer driver : PCL 6 v3.2.0.0
When printing on a Ricoh device (tested with both Ricoh IMC3000 and Ricoh MPC3003) only a part of the page is printed when you print to scale or fitting.
same document printed right on previous acrobat version.
Tested on 2 computers give the same problem.
Document also prints ok if "print as image" is selected.

  11. Acrobat Pro no longer recognizes changes to the paper size made in the HP Universal Printing PCL 6 drivers.

When I change the paper size in the Printer Properties dialog for the PCL 6 printer, Acrobat's print dialog no longer recognizes the new paper size and no longer changes the preview to indicate the new size. This is reproducible 100% of the time.

I had been using an older PCL 6 driver (7.0.0.24832) for years, and about four months ago an update to Acrobat caused this behavior to start. Every Acrobat version since has had the same issue. I am…

Cross link to similar report at https://github.com/jdaw1/placemat/issues/171

Consider the PDF placemats. Observe lots of complicated clipping. This was printed successfully from Adobe inside Chrome, but unsuccessfully from Adobe desktop app — major failure of clipping.

  13. PDFs only print the first 1/3 of the document with latest Adobe version (2026.001.21431) on Mac (26.3.1 (a)).
Using HP Color LaserJet MFP M283fdw with latest firmware (20251014).
When I turned POSRSCRIPT Error printing on, the printer was able to tell me why it quit partway through the document.
    "POSTSCRIPT Warning
    Subsystem: PARSER
    Warning: PDFSender_Interp.c
    Line Number: 1794
    Error Information: Reported by PDL
    invalidfont"

Same error prints out for every occurance of the issue. Error occurs for all PDF documents printed using Acrobat. Error does not occur when using a browser to view/print the PDF.

  15. If only 1 page in an 8-page booklet has a color image and the rest is text, the ability to print the document with the "auto" color option in print dialogue and it actually print only the first page in color and the rest of the document in black and white.

  16. Ever since downloading Acrobat Pro, I can no longer print PDF's from my MacBook. I deleted all Adobe programs with the uninstaller and installed the basic reader again and still cannot print. I have to email and print from my phone. The error message has said "Download-thanks for your patience" for two days. What do you recommend?

  17. Your AI is useless. I cannot figure out how to get ANY Help from Adobe. I click Visit Help. I try their fix, but I cannot get to "

    "Open Acrobat.

Select Menu > Help > " THIS IS WHERE I AM STYMIED. WHERE IS THE NEXT STEP CHECKING FOR UPDATES."Check for updates (Windows) or Help > Check for updates (macOS).

Install available updates and restart Acrobat. "

Your AI help is helpless, clueless and wasting my time.

  18. I have wasted so much paper because of this ****** bug. Printing double sided should never ever be automatic or the default setting. I turn it off all of the time, and even went into settings to disable double sided book printing, yet it still randomly turns it back on. This has to stop.
