Hi,
We are delighted to share with you that Acrobat and Reader Desktop release for DC Continuous (21.007.20091) is Live now and this Takes care of the Feature Request to Change the Display Size of the Acrobat without changing the Scaling/Resolution of the machine. This can be Done from “View” → “Display Size”. For now this is avaialble for windows only.

Please update your Acrobat (It should Auto update or you should do Help → Check for updates) and let us know your Feedback.

We have provided a registry protected fix, some users confirmed that this worked for them.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jay M commentedI see this issue sometimes, but more often Indesign can't export because Acrobat or Explorer is showing a thumbnail of the file. Often must close Acrobat and move Explorer away from the containing folder before I can export over existing PDF.
Also, if touch a PDF with certain tools, such as Forms tool, asks to "Save as". -

"... fonts that you're not using..." I've seen that issue on machines that didn't have all that many fonts active. Anyway, that doesn't happen all at once.
However, good digital housekeeping will leave the most resources available, to mitigate software issues...
