   Having this issue as well and every time I "fix" it, it reoccurs as soon as I re-launch Word. Microsoft says this is an Adobe issue.

   Can you try updating your Office and Acrobat?
   Let us know if that fixes the issue else, please share the screenshot of the errors or crash dump.

   This issue is now occurring even when following Microsoft's instructions for locating and removing linkCreation.dotm. Every time I re-launch Word, I get an Error 53 and linkCreation.dotm is selected under Tools->Templates and Add-ins, no matter how many times I delete it. What needs to happen to fix this issue?

   I am using Acrobat XI 11.0.23 for Mac.

   I have Photoshop installed and it is fine.

   I wrote out exact steps above - this happens no matter what I've done before, including from a restart.
