So, I’ve been struggling with my outdoor shoots lately. Last weekend, I went on this long hike to catch the sunrise over a ridge, and I thought I’d be smart by packing my DSLR, three lenses, and a tripod. But halfway up, I was completely drained from the weight! By the time I got to the top, I was so tired I missed the best light. How do you guys manage to bring the right gear without feeling like you're carrying a boulder on your back?

I feel you both, but I went a different way—I stopped carrying so much. I ditched my DSLR and switched to a smaller mirrorless camera. It’s so light, I barely notice it’s there, and honestly, I’ve been happier with my shots because I’m more focused on the scenery and less on my gear. I don’t even miss the heavier equipment. Sometimes, less really is more when you're out there! Might be something worth trying if you’re tired of lugging everything around.

Man, I’ve been there! I used to overpack too until I found the Cotton Carrier harness. It’s a game changer. It keeps your camera right on your chest, easy to grab, and spreads the weight so it doesn’t kill your back. You can hike comfortably and still have your camera ready for the perfect shot. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who’s dealing with gear overload on hikes. Here’s the link if you want to check it out: https://www.cottoncarrier.com/pages/camera-gear-load-and-carrying-tool. It really helped me enjoy my hikes more!
