   BUG: AdobeARM v1.824.460.1067 (from Adobe Acrobat Reader MUI v24.001.20629) getting stuck in memory after error "NtReadVirtualMemory unicodepath failed, error: -2147483635". Can download files (AcroRdrDCUpd2400120643MUIincr.msp and ReaderDCManifest3.msi on 04/01) and (AcroRdrDCUpd2400220687MUI.msp and ReaderDCManifest3.msi yesterday, so on 04/12) but is unable to continue installing updates because mostly looping on error "NtReadVirtualMemory unicodepath failed, error: -2147483635" and also sporadically also meet error "NtReadVirtualMemory readpeb failed, error: -1073741790".

2. Allow Reader and Pro to be installed on the same computer

   Allow Reader and Pro to be installed on the same computer. I often just want to read PDF files, but since Pro is installed on my computer I need to sign in through my work account each time. This is time consuming, unwieldy and is a problem when I am in an area with no Mobile service as signing in requires two-factor authentication. I wish to have Reader installed so I can default opening PDF files to it, and then only use Pro when I need the extra features.

3. Have to repair installation daily

   I'm having to repair the installation every day to use it, sometimes multiple times a day. Specifically for the e-signing function. Otherwise it only gets to the final step before sending and sits there loading until it says it can't connect to server. Is there a way to fix this on our end so our business is not losing time waiting for it to repair itself before it works?

4. BUG: New Install of Reader adds COM Add-In to Office, causes Error Message in Word

   Recent installs of Acrobat Reader adds a PDF Maker COM Add-in to Microsoft Office causing Error Messages if Macros are not enabled.

   In corporate environments, Macros are not installed / enabled in Microsoft Office by default so as to avoid viruses and malware.

   Recent installations of Acrobat Reader installs a PDFMaker Add-In in Microsoft Office. This causes Macro error messages to appear in Word since Macros are not installed or are disabled. It affects numerous users when creating any new or opening existing documents.

   Eventually traced the issue to the PDFMaker COM Add-In in Microsoft Word which is installed by current versions of Acrobat Reader.

   The PDFMaker COM Add-In did NOT install in prior versions of Acrobat Reader.

   Workaround is to manually disable the COM Add-In or to delete physical file.

   There is no way to uninstall the COM Add-In itself.

5. BUG: Unable to install 'Adobe Reader Extended Asian Language Font Pack' v23.008.20421 (32bit) under very specific conditions

   As user in Administrators group and obviously with all appropriate rights today I've discovered a very specific situation in which an Administrator may be unable to install 'Adobe Reader Extended Asian Language Font Pack' v23.008.20421 (32bit) using FontPack2300820421XtdAlfLang_DC.msi.
   Upon execution of that package, if very specific configuration conditions are met, the only error message the user will be able to see is "Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.008.20421 or later must be installed before proceeding with this installation."
   After that message has been displayed (Administrator user can only confirm with [ Ok ] button) a Setup package termination dialog box appear and once again user can only confirm with [ Ok ] button.
   After setup window has closed a new MSIabcde.LOG file gets created into 'C:\Users<userAlias>\AppData\Local\Temp\' folder (pls see enclosed file) and will only contain 1 line with the same error message already displayed to user.

7. Stop unconsensually installing crapware like McAfee on my computer

   It's 2024, not 2013. I installed Acrobat Reader multiple times in varying VMs with VPNs set to different locations, not a single time was I given the option on whether or not to install this. Adobe, shame on you for being 12 years in the past. We don't want this ****, and never did.

13. BUG: after completing an update AdobeARM should not incorrectly warn user that a reboot is needed before starting Acrobat Reader DC

    After I was finally able to complete a manual upgrade from v24.001.20629 to current v24.002.20687 I was informed that a reboot was needed before using Acrobat Reader. However after more investigations I did I found that only reason why Acrobat Reader told me so was that he found some of own components of previous version, still running even Acrobat Reader was not running. So here's list of such applications:
    - AdobeCollabSync.exe,
    - WCChromeNativeMessagingHost.exe.
    In specific this last one could not be closed silently by Acrobat Reader manual upgrade during own installation and remained running even after end of successfully completed upgrade. After that he wrote inside C:\Windows\Temp\ArmReport.ini
    "[SESSION]
    PingFilesList=DownloadManifestSuccessBITS;UpdateInstallReboot
    ..." but after I manually forced WCChromeNativeMessagingHost.exe I also discovered that same application was anyway already updated properly into own path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\Browser\WCChromeExtn\WCChromeNativeMessagingHost.exe' and same file was not even mentioned into HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations REGMULTISZ list typically used when files already in use can only be updated properly after a reboot took place.
    So basically this also means that after completing an update AdobeARM should not incorrectly warn user that a reboot is needed before starting Acrobat Reader DC, and might have simply just informed me that before starting Acrobat Reader DC I'd just better have to manually close WCChromeNativeMessagingHost.exe still running component of previous version.
    P.S. Please note that I'm unable to upload involved ArmReport.ini because upload of this file is not allowed.

    If you're execute and patch Adobe Reader (64 bit) from MUI.exe-file and deploy the installation in ActiveDirectory with Grouppolicy (GPO) the client installation will fail with:
    Error 2602. The File table entry 'snapshot_blob.bin' has no associated entry in the Media table.

    These file is available in the source (Program Files 64\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\AcroCEF).

    I tried to get my installation file on the same way as it works for Adobe Reader (32 bit):

    Error 2602. The File table entry 'snapshot_blob.bin' has no associated entry in the Media table.

    These file is available in the source (Program Files 64\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\AcroCEF).

    I tried to get my installation file on the same way as it works for Adobe Reader (32 bit):
    .\AcroRdrDCx642300320244MUI.exe -sfxo"C:\AdobeReaderExtracted" -sfxne
    msiexec /a c:\AdobeReaderExtracted\AcroPro.msi TARGETDIR="c:\AcrobatReaderDCAIP"
    msiexec /a C:\AcrobatReaderDCAIP\AcroPro.msi /p C:\AdobeReaderExtracted\AcroRdrDCx64Upd2300320244MUI.msp
