    2. Open the Tool Hub app
    3. Navigate to the Program Problems tab
    4. Click on QuickBooks PDF Print & Repair Tool
    5. It can take up to a minute to run

    There can be many reasons why QuickBooks crashes when opening company file. Some of the root causes include a damaged or corrupted company file or underlying issues with the Database Server Manager. Moreover, if third-party programs are running in the background, then they may cause conflicts with QB Desktop as well. Additionally, it is possible that your QuickBooks program files have been damaged or the Windows operating system itself has been damaged. But it is not easy to pinpoint an exact reason as to why QB keeps crashing when you try to open your company file.

    I use Adobe Acrobat Reader(ver.2025.001.20630, 64bit) on Windows11.
    My computer has a secondary display.
    And My computer has a setting: Where to display taskbar apps when using multiple displays: Open window taskbar.

    When opening a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and displaying it on the main display,
    an Adobe Acrobat Reader's icon will appear on the taskbar of the main display.

    Then, after I move Adobe Acrobat Reader to the sub-display,
    two Adobe Acrobat Reader's icons will appear on the taskbar of the sub-display.
