BUG: Cannot Copy Highlighted Text to normal notes file or word document

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Open a pdf document.
Highlight a sentence.
Copy only the middle text of the highlighted sentence using cmd+c. (Should not include any character outside the highlighted text)
Try to paste it on the word document.

Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.):
OS : Mac Catalina
Application: Acrobat Reader DC.
Version: 20.006.20034

Expected result:
Should be able to paste
