I have created pdf business cards that utilize the "tell:#" and "mailto:" email function as clickable links. However, Adobe reader doesn't seem to support a similar function - "sms:#" to open and send a text message from a clickable link.
At first I thought it was a problem with the format of the function but on further research and testing, it works perfectly with your competition such as Foxit, wundershare pdf, even Microsoft onedrive will open the link and send a text message.

I can't believe as big as Adobe is this can't be added. I tested several other pdf readers from the Google app store and many of them supported opening the "SMS: phonenumber" function to send a text from a clickable link.
