Acrobat can edit documents only when the documents are not password protected or you have the restrictions password for the protected document.
A user can apply password protection on a document and restrict others from doing certain changes . Only users having this password will be able to do those changes after they enter the password on the prompt window. Please ask the creator of the document to share the password with you. -

An error occurred while saving the comment cdas commentedDear user,
We can upload a password protected document if we enter the right password.
Please try uploading the same document with the same password to Adobe Document Cloud by clicking on the cloud icon on the Toolbar in Acrobat. If the document can be uploaded successfully, there should be some issue with the specific website.
In that case the website may not be supporting the protection applied by Acrobat. -

We cannot change the signature after place it. Incase you are the signer of the document and you still have the digital id you signed with, you can remove the signature by selecting "Clear Signature" option on right click on the signature field.
If you want to edit the document after signing, you can do only allowable changes to the document after you have signed it.
You can resign the document after removing the signature -

Acrobat allows multiple digital signatures on a document unless a pdf is locked after signing or the document is password protected and only filling of signature field is allowed.
Please open the doc in Acrobat. CTRL+D and go to Security Tab to check for the document properties. The Document restrictions summary will tell you the changes that are allowed.
In general, we can sign document multiple times using Certificates Tool -

Do you have a document open password set ? In that case, you will have to provide a password while trying to open the document every time.
Acrobat does not remember the password.
In case you have Document permissions password set, you will be able to open the documents and read them. But you will not be able to edit them unless you provide the permissions password. -

An error occurred while saving the comment cdas commentedDear user,
Once you have protected the file, you have to know the password to open it, even to remove the security or save a copy of the file.
There is no way to remove or modify the file in any way without opening the document with the password. Thanks and regards,

To use Digital Signature on Acrobat/Reader, if you have a signature field present on the pdf, you still can click on the document field and it would initiate the digital signature workflow. This functionality is still present in Acrobat DC. If you want to draw a signature on the pdf outside a signature box, please go to Tools—Certificates—Digitally Sign. That would enable you to draw a box on the pdf for the signature.

You can create a new policy template from Protect—Encrypt—Manage Security Policies—New (create the new security settings that you want to apply) and save it as a template.
You will still need to open the files individually and apply the template on each file. But this would be an easier way around. -

An error occurred while saving the comment cdas commentedDear User,
Thank you for reporting the issue.
The point you have raised is correct. DocHub does not honor the restrictions set to a file when it opens the files.
On a signed file, it removes the signature from the doc and allows all the changes that were restricted. However the modified file will no longer be a signed file. It is unable to open a file encrypted with a certificate . It can again open a file that is password protected. It asks for the document open password before opening the file , but again does not honor the restrictions set.It is upto the third party app to honor the restrictions set to a pdf. All the information is already embedded in the pdf. But some apps chose not to apply them. Once the pdf file is opened in any third party app, Acrobat has no control on how it treats the file.
I would request you to please raise the concern with Google.
Thanks and regards.

There has been no recent change in the way we place the digital signature box on the pdf. We click on "Digitally Sign" and a cursor appears on screen. we simply drag the cursor to size the rectangle and leave the mouse to place the box finally.

An error occurred while saving the comment cdas commentedDear User, The Supervisors Signature field on page 1 is actually a text field and not a signature field.
Where as the Supervisors Signature field on page 2 is actually a signature field.(so right clicking on that automatically invokes the signing workflow)
If you want to sign the field on Page 1 , please select the Certificates Tool from the Tools menu and, click "Digitally Sign" ,draw a rectangle on the text field. And follow the steps mentioned in the comment below. An error occurred while saving the comment cdas commentedDear User,
Thank you for posting the issue. We have received the file you were trying to sign on.
Firstly, are you trying to sign the form with a digital signature.?
In that case, please click on the Supervisor's Signature form field. It should open up a window “Sign with a Digital Id” in case you have a list of digital ids already added to Acrobat. In case you do not have any digital ids added, it would throw, “Digital Id Configuration Required” dialog. Select “Configure a Digital Id” and then “Use Digital id from a file” [if you have a pfx file saved to your local machine] or “Create a new Digital Id” [when you want to create a a new pfx file]. Once you have added, or created a new digital id, it shows up in the list of digital ids to sign with. Please select the id ,Continue, and “Sign As “ screen opens where you may have to enter the password for the digital id . Click on “Sign” . This would place the signature on the form field -

Did the document you tried printing from Microsoft edge have password printing permissions allowed?
Please open the document and press CTRL+D. This should show you the Document Restrictions Summary where all the operations that are allowed and that are not allowed are listed.
If the document does not have "Printing" as "allowed", the document cannot be printed from edge.
Dear user,
Can you please name the third party app to remove the password so we can investigate further.
