Hi,
I understand the issue faced by you. Read Out Loud is not a screen reader provided by Acrobat but a feature to read the pdf.
You can user VoiceOver on MacOS which is a Screen Reader supported by Apple. You can easily find the shortcuts at https://www.apple.com/voiceover/info/guide/_1131.htmlI hope this would help you in resolving the issue.
Thanks

An error occurred while saving the comment Brennan Young commentedI doubt Adobe will ever offer a feature like this. I agree it would be extremely useful, because the tools for making accessible HTML are much better supported and better documented than those for making accessible PDF.
You may be interested to learn that chromium browsers (such as Chrome and Edge) already have some support for this feature via the Print dialog. Still quite new, and many role-mapping bugs, but it kinda works. Headings, lists and paragraphs all coming out right. Try it, and report any issues to the chromium bug database.

Hi,
Please share a pdf file so that we can check the issue and resolve it for you. Thanks
RachitAn error occurred while saving the comment Brennan Young commentedAcrobat wont add the PDF/UA flag automatically because (Adobe tells us) stuff like color/contrast and read order has to be checked manually. OK, then. how about adding the flag automatically when the test passes. That way, when we reopen the file, Acrobat will know that it's good and will not prompt for another manual check. Right? That would be easier.

Hi
Can you share the steps by which do you want to create a PDF/UA file?
Acrobat already has an option to fix tagging issues in the PDF to make it PDF/UA compliant using Tools > Preflight. Thanks

Rachit, please offer some documentation about which screen readers support Acrobat Reader. This is very basic info which should be in the VPAT for Acrobat. FWIW my recent explorations show that now VoiceOver kinda works with Acrobat, but definitely has bugs and issues. Where should we report those bugs? Do they belong to Adobe or Apple? Please advise.
