  2. After typing Cntrol+s all afternoon, and into the night yesterday, I arrive to find out that nothing saved, past around 1:00 pm yesterday. I lost a TON of work. Please fix ASAP.

  3. Cannot do a Save As... to make a new document from a template. The buttons are not user friendly at all. Many options in the previous version cannot be found.

  6. Steps to reproduce the bug: Open the attached pdf file and try to find the word "поиск" (using the search tool).

    Expected result: Acrobat finds the word "поиск" at the and of the first line.

    Observed result: Acrobat finds nothing.

    Environment: Windows; any version of Acrobat or Acrobat Reader.

  7. Acrobat Pro DC Version 2019.008.20081 - Windows 10 64bit

    I configured the initial view setting in the Document properties, such as Page Layout, magnification, open to page, and Window Options
    But the initial view configuration is ignored when I open the pdf document, and the Acrobat shows last view settings and page regardless initial view setting.

    For example, I set the "Page Layout" with Two up and "Open to Page"
    with 1. then save and close. when I reopen the document, the Acrobat shows single page layout view and page 5 as the las view before closing document.

  8. I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC and MadCap Flare 2018 r2 on a Windows 10 operating system.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Build a PDF in Flare.
    2. Open the PDF from inside Flare.
    3. Double-click on a different PDF in Windows Explorer.

    Expected result: Second PDF opens.
    Actual result: Second PDF does not open. The error message that shows up sometime later says: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.

    MadCap support has been unable to resolve the issue.

  10. I mostly use the Edit or Prepare Form tools. While I'm updating my document, Acrobat crashes at random times. There is nothing consistent, it just seems to be more finicky after the most recent update. After it crashes, I reopen it and the customized toolbar on the right has reverted back to the default tools. This is very inconvenient and happens several times a day while editing or preparing a document. Is this a known issue and is there a fix for this?

  11. When I first open Acrobat the first time I try to do a SAVE AS to a different location...the document is not saved to the target location. Second time I tray it, document IS saved to target location.

  14. We use Adobe to compare PDF file that comes from two different system.
    Left side is our internal and right side is from another system.
    We copy over the format of the other system for us to compare it perfectly in Adobe.
    But no matter how we adjust the alignment and spacing, we still encounter below discrepancy flag.
    As you notice, the text are exactly the same.
    And also how come the font size of the PDF that comes from our internal system become lesser when convert to Adobe (from 8 to 7.98)

    Can you help us how to sort…

    Hi,

    There’s a difference in the font size between the characters in the files shared by you because the application used to create the two PDFs is different. Please try comparing the PDF files created using the same application and let me know if you’re still facing the issue.

  15. Can't open pdf in Acrobat DC. The wheel spins and the program has to be forcefully quit. The program stops working as it prepares the file for reading.

  18. I use hyperlinking a lot (in DC too). It works well for me, but often Adobe Acrobat DC stops working - freezes, and I need to restart the programme

  19. When I have the Page Thumbnails sidebar open and I switch between different open PDFs Acrobat refreshes the whole thing, including all the pages which can be slow and locks-up the whole UI. Why can't it cache the thumbnails when I switch between documents? It becomes very painful if I have a long PDF with 100+ pages in.

    Sorry to hear that you’re facing while using Find tool.
    In order to reproduce the issue in-house, can you please provide the following details :

    1. Please tell us the version of your Acrobat/Reader.
    2. Could you please share the workflow that you’re trying to perform using the Find tool?
    3. It will be great if you could share the crash dump with us.

    How to create crash logs on Windows environment?
    1. Retry the scenario where Acrobat crashes
    2. Do not close the pop-up when Acrobat crash
    3. Open Task manager
    4. Right-click on “Acrobat.exe *32” process and select ‘Create Dump file’
    5. It will create a log file in the temp folder. (Path will be displayed on pop-up comes when logs created). You can also check this under
    - Open Run process (Win+R)
    - Type temp
    - Logs file will be available here with name “Acrobat.DMP
