Highlighter Not Working
Whenever I tap on highlighter then go to highlight something in my scanned pdf, I’m unable to highlight.
If the scanned PDF has not been properly OCR-ed, then we are not able to do text based annotations (highlight, strikethrough, etc.). We’re sorry for any inconveniences this has caused you.
Please let us know if you have any other issues, thank you!

Before the update I was able to highlight a document. After update I am not able to highlight samendocument. Tried holding pen longer and other suggestions but still not working in same document.

It would seem by long pressing the pen to the page, the highlighter kicks in.

With the new update, we have changed the gesture for highlighting text from drag to long press-and-drag.
Here are the steps to highlight a text:
1. Tap on the commenting tools button to get to the commenting mode. (the blue circular button with the pencil icon on the bottom left side of the screen)
2. Tap on the highlight button.
3. Long press on the beginning of the text you want to highlight until a magnifying glass appears
4. Drag the sentence to highlight the rest of your text.Alternatively, if you do not have the commenting mode active, you can also long press on a word, and commenting options will appear for you, including highlight. Please give these a try and let us know if you are still experiencing any issues.
Thank you!

It’s worth stating these books have searchable text.

I have several books that allowed highlighting before and are no longer working. This is critical to my school work. How do I fix it?
