Phantom Files (local files only)
I have two pdf files on my iPad in adobe reader that have no content and cannot be opened, deleted, or renamed. They only have file names.
I would like to delete them but there does not seem to be any way to do that. I have tried to access them both in the Adobe app and using the Apple file app. Any suggestions?

Hi all,
We just released 19.06.01 to the App Store on June 16, 2019.
Please update to 19.06.01 and check if the problem is fixed.
If the problem still persists, please try the following steps.
1. Tap Home in the bottom tab bar to go to Acrobat Home screen.
2. Tap the Profile icon (the second from the right) in the top bar to go to the Settings screen.
3. Tap Sign Out.
4. Tap Sign In to sign back into Document Cloud.Thank you for your help!

Thanks for your suggestion: I’ve updated the app and then tried to delete the phantom file, but it’s still there... -

Having same issue ... renamed file OK, but “phantom” file with original name exists on my iPad! Cannot delete or rename to something inoculous - what can be done to fix this?

I now know how the phantom files were created. Instead of selecting an internet available pdf file by selecting Adobe PDF, I selected print and then Adobe PDF hoping to obtain a searchable pdf. The adobe app announced that the file type was not recognized. Instead of rejecting the file, the app places the title into the file system. I am left with a phantom file that can’t be accessed in any way. I believe the only way to delete will be to transfer my files and delete the app. Then, I can download the app and restore the transferred files.
