  1. Adobe Acrobat Reader v2023.006.20320 64 bit.
After the Windows September 2023 updates (Windows 11 Pro 22H2 22621.2283) I started getting the message "Acrobat quit unexpectedly" message.
I get this message several times a day.
I get the error even if I do not do anything related to Adobe Reader DC.
I have a feeling this is related to the "Enable PDF thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer". I am saying this because if I turn off that setting, I do not get the error.
I tried the troubleshooting steps but that did not help.
Following the suggestion to enable the CrashDumps…

  2. User can change the default font and size but not color! when i review Adobe documents, i have to add comments in red, but my default is to black. and i have to change it every time i open a new document. Please give us the ability to choose a default color. Such a simple thing - i'm surprised i even have to request this basic option.

  3. Execute most recent AR DC (32-bit), click on any of the recently opened PDF files from list, file opens and content displays, then AR DC locks up, requiring use of Task Manager to kill it.
Error message shows in popup window:

    Hi,

Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.
    1) Have you applied a latest patch of Win10-2004 after which you are facing this issue ?

    2) Could you confirm me the current version of Acrobat Reader DC that you have ?

    3) Could you please do Help → Repair Installation and see if it fixes the issue ?

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  4. Because I have to work many times on a multitude of opened pdf files that I need to keep open for days in a row, I think a feature to restore previous session of opened documents (just like Firefox or Google Chrome) would be really helpful!

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us for you conerns.

We already have it implemented in Reader.
Do “File” → “Reopen PDFs from last session.” And that should restore all the pdfs that were present in you last session at the time of Quiting the application.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  5. Consistent crashes on Adobe Reader DC on Windows 10, with the newest version installed. No crash report ever generated, instant process stop. Can be replicated when attempting to sign in or save as. Open recent document shows saved file and location within adobe, cannot be located when selected to open or found within computer files.

  6. I was asked to create a document in such a way that when it gets passed along it opens in Read Mode instead of with the comment, fill &sign and more tools panel open. Apparently that can't be done.
