hide the "all tools" toolbar by default
hide the "all tools" toolbar by default. this toolbar is only needed sometimes. this feature is enabled for the exception instead of the rule. since it takes up one-third of the display window and is on the left, it is distracting. when it was on the right, it wasn't as distracting. when viewing many pdfs over the course of the day, having to give up one third of the screen to a useless toolbar is frustrating.

I hope I can get the feature early. I use Reader to display PDFs on a public booth computer, and I don't want to see the pane every time I open Acrobat for PDF. Thank you!

Thanks for providing the valuable feedback. We are working on this and it would be available in the product in near future.

At home I'm only using acrobat to read PDF game instructions. At work, I'm only using acrobat to read Government form instructions. In both scenarios I am accessing content created by other people and I do not need to edit the file. Just read and search. In both scenarios I also have a lot of other windows taking up room on my three monitors and the space taken up by the All Tools is not negligible until it's closed. Every single PDF I open I have to click to close to see the page. Please consider the experience of the readers. It making me want to go back to physical books.

Same problem here. I use Acrobat Reader on a vertical display and the All Tools left-hand pane takes up a huge portion of the window and shrinks the document I'm viewing which is set to zoom by page-width. I don't want to close the toolbar or press Ctrl+H to enter Read Mode every time I open a document. I managed to get the right-hand pane to automatically close by default, but this annoying All Tools pane on the left consistently shows up no matter what settings I try to set including "Remember current state of Tools Pane" and "Restore last view settings when reopening documents".
