The new layout is an incredibly annoying 'experience', and it's almost as if Adobe knew it was, because they added the high-level option in the main menu to disable the new 'experience'. It is frustrating that you have to click this every time you reopen reader though, and there is the worry that at some point they will take away the option to disable it! Please go back to the tried and tested layout or give us the option to permanently configure it that way - if something isn't broken, don't try and fix it! Thanks.
