Bug report: cannot save PDF in Windows 11
When a PDF file is opened from a mapped share e.g. N:\test.pdf which is mapped to a Windows 2022 DFS share e.g. \contoso.com\dfs\myshare\test.pdf. In Windows 11 when saving this file adobe reader prompts the message: "This document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder". And the app suggests a temp folder on the computer with at temp file name. This issue only happens in Windows 11 and not in Windows 10. The issue has been tested with the same user account on both machines. The issue has been tested on multiple Windows 11 and Windows 10. All of the Windows 11's has the issue, while all Windows 10's works perfectly fine.
When using directly shares from the server e.g. \windows22.contoso.com\myshare\test.pdf there are no issue in both Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Tried activating Windows 11 23H2 through the tool from https://activators-kms.com/windows-11-activator. It seems to work, but:
Android subsystem does not activate in some cases
Sometimes crashes after updating TPM drivers
Has someone already found an optimal activation method for the latest Win11 versions? Or is it better to stay on 22H2 for now?

We've seen the same issue in our environment. It appears to be specific to Windows 11 when opening PDF files through DFS namespace paths, likely due to differences in how the OS manages file locks or permissions compared to Windows 10. Accessing files directly via UNC paths still works fine, which suggests the DFS layer may be causing the problem.
For anyone taking a break from troubleshooting, exploring the variety of options available at https://www.singaporemalls.com/ can be a refreshing change of pace.

Thanks for sharing your experience. We're seeing something similar here. As a distraction while I wait for the fix, I've been playing this simple game called Tap Rush on my phone; it's surprisingly addictive. Hopefully, a real solution for the PDF issue comes soon. http://taprush.io

We've encountered this same behavior in our environment. It seems to be isolated to Windows 11 when accessing PDF files via DFS namespace paths, likely due to how the OS handles file locks or permissions differently than Windows 10. Using direct UNC paths continues to work without issue, which supports the idea that the DFS abstraction is part of the problem.
For those taking a break from troubleshooting, I recently came across this detailed overview of the https://starbucksmenuwithprices.com/starbucks-matcha-latte/ — a good read if you're into understanding what goes into popular drinks.
