    Hi,

    Currently, Acrobat provides integrated cloud storage support for Dropbox only. It's not possible to add any other cloud storage to the Files > Locations list on the fly.

    We will leave your suggestion open so that other users can vote for it.

    Hi Geoff,

    You cannot move files in Home > Recent. Please switch to Files > Locations to move files.

    1. Tap “Files” at the bottom tab bar.
    2. Select a location (e.g. “On This iPad/iPhone”, “Document Cloud”).
    3. Tap “…”.
    4. Tap “Move” from the menu that pops up.
    5. Select a destination folder.
    6. Tap Move.

    Saving a document from one location to another location (e.g. saving a document on Document Cloud to iPhone/iPad) is not supported.

    Hi,

    One of the screenshots that you shared with us privately indicated that your PDF document is a special type of PDF called "dynamic XFA".

    Acrobat Reader mobile apps (for iOS and Android) do not support dynamic XFA documents.

    Hi,

    In general, Acrobat Reader for iOS can open encrypted PDF documents for viewing.

    I suspect that you have a special type of PDF document.

    For example, your PDF document may be protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management) by third-parties (such as Vitrium).

    Do you see an error message or a dialog prompting for username & password when you try opening the PDF document?

    Would you please attach a screenshot in your next reply?

    Hi,

    If you can see the files in search results, the files are not lost.

    Are you looking at the Home screen? The Home screen shows recently opened documents only.

    Please tap "Files" in the bottom bar and select the location where your files are located. (See the attached screenshot: Files Locations.png)

    * On This iPad/iPhone
    * Document Cloud
    * Dropbox
    * More Locations (other cloud storage) such as iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Google Drive

    Hi,

    If you long-press over text and get the context menu with "Note | Text | Freehand", it means that Acrobat did not recognize it as real text.

    Please take a look at the two attached screenshots to see the difference.

    Do you have a scanned PDF by any chance? A scanned PDF contains text *images* not real text.

    Unless you use an advanced PDF editor app, such as the desktop version of Acrobat Pro, with OCR (optical character recognition) to generate a PDF document containing real text, you will not be able to use the "Define" feature or add text markup annotations (Highlight, Underline, and Strikethrough).

    Would you please provide more details about the problem?

    Do you see the alert with the message "Download an older version of this app"? (See the attached screenshot: LastCompatibleVersion.png)

    The system requirement for Acrobat Reader 18.09.13 (released on October 1, 2018) or newer is iOS 11.2 or newer.

    What is the iOS version on your iPad/iPhone? What is your device model (e.g. iPad Air 2nd generation, iPhone X)?

    If you can attach a screenshot to your next reply, it would be helpful for us to troubleshoot.

    I am wondering if you are looking at the Home Recent screen, where there is no option to add a new folder.

    To add a new folder

    1. Tap "Files" in the bottom bar.
    2. Select a location (e.g. "On This iPhone/iPad, Document Cloud, Dropbox).
    3. Tap the blue circle button in the lower-right corner.
    4. Tap "New Folder".

    Hi Lazz,

    The PDF document opened on your Chromebook is a special type of PDF called "dynamic XFA" form.

    Acrobat Reader mobile apps for iOS and Android and web browsers (e.g. Google Chrome, Apple Safari) do not support rendering of XFA forms.

    Hi,

    Is your problem opening or downloading a form from a government website? Do you see an error message?

    Would you please share the link to the form, if it's publicly available from the website?

    My guess is that the form is a special type of form called "static/dynamic XFA form" that is not supported by Acrobat Reader mobile apps for iOS and Android. A workaround is to use the desktop version of Acrobat Reader on your Windows or Mac computer.

    We can confirm it if you can provide the link to the form.

    Hi,

    I renamed the title of your request from
    "Please add a reading mode to app. Not to dim while reading."
    to
    "Please add 'Brightness Lock' to app. Not to dim while reading."

    Acrobat Reader for iOS has the menu item called "Reading Mode" in View Settings. Please see the attached screenshot.

    However, Reading Mode is not the same thing as "Brightness Lock".

    Acrobat Reader for iOS does not support Brightness Lock to prevent the screen from dimming.

    We will leave your request open to see if other users vote for it.

    Hi,

    To access the Commenting or Fill & Sign tool

    1. Open a PDF document.
    2. Tap the blue button with pencil icon at the bottom-right corner.
    3. Select "Comment" or "Fill & Sign".

    If a PDF document is encrypted or has document permissions to disallow "editing", the blue button and the tools will not be available to make any changes.

    Acrobat Reader for iOS does support "Find in Document".

    1. Open a PDF document in Acrobat.
    2. Tap the magnifying glass icon in the top bar.

    3. Enter text to find in the document.
    4. Press the Search button on the keyboard.

    Would you please explain what you mean by "edit"?

    Do you mean adding comments (Highlight, Freehand Drawing, Sticky Notes), filling out forms or something else?

    Editing text in a PDF document, for example, is available via a paid subscription.

    Flash has never been supported on iOS devices.

    Adobe will stop updating and distributing the Flash Player at the end of 2020.
