  3. Setting custom menu with often used items (top bar or side panel) and omitting other common or unused tools should be intuitive. Once made the user menu can be set in other registered app system UI's with a checkbox so all systems can inherit user configured menu. Or all configurations are cloned across networks if separated by location, i.e. desktop-portable or desktop-desktop at second location. Also, multiple user choices or mod and share capability. U.I. should conform to personal workflows and allow for customizations that live beyond updates and re-installs. Simple look-up file stored on Adobe servers is applied when…

  4. Provide option to add "Sign Document by typing or drawing signature" icon to the Quick Tools bar as well as others as needed. It is not productive when one has to navigate from Document to Tools, then select Fill and Sign, then select the "Sign Document by typing or drawing signature" icon. When one has to do this on multiple documents, it is rather frustrating to keep switching back/forth. Thanks.

  7. I've added new "Custom command" -> Inspect document -> Text to Curves

I've added that Custom Command to Quick tools toolbar.
The idea was that i have one click text to curves button.
After clicking indeed the text changes to curves, BUT when you click save icon, it goes disabled (as if you'd think you saved the file). Yet if you reopen the file the text is text not curves.

It only works if you go Save AS and then choose your file once again but it defeats the purpose of having custom command. It's then easier to just add…

  8. My predecessor was emailed a set of documents (PDFs) and he must have dragged/dropped the files onto our server because I cannot open the PDFs. When I do, Adobe Acrobat pops up a window that says "...could not open [file name] because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
To create an Adobe PDF doc, go to the source application. Then print the document in Adobe PDF."

    I don't have access to my predecessor's email nor do I have…

    Adobe Acrobat? It is hidden!!

Please make some popup / notification that there are attachments embedded within the PDF - as a default feature. Just like Outlook has it.

I received a 7MB 1 x page PDF today and only because i questioned myself why it was 7MB in file size (no pictures - just text). ... i went back and checked and clicked on pages - nope, just one page. clicked on layers - nope. Ahh how about attachments. Boom. There are…

  15. Am I missing something? On the most recent update, all of a sudden, i can't close the adobe screen by clicking the "X" in the upper right side. In order to close, I must go to the computer toolbar, right click and close the window. I am sure I am missing a setting. Any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks!

  16. When you save a pdf a window pops up suggesting where you can save the file, you have the option to click a suggested folder or save in a different location. However, no matter which option you choose it still opens an apple finder window to choose where to save the file. This is a waste of time and a feature that should be turned off.

  17. The commands that get included reflect either your ideas of how to use Acrobat or the use of a mythical "average user" but not mine. Could you allow full tailoring of the menu bar?

    Thanks

  19. When working with multiple tabs in one window, randomly they will separate into separate windows. This happens on its own. I have no idea why. I will be working back and forth between two tabs, and suddenly, they will become separated into two windows. Sometimes this happens when I don't even have Acrobat DC visible on the screen.

  20. Very displeased with this DC version but the biggest issue is that sections of pages constantly highlight when trying to pan, drag text, select text, pretty much anytime you left click anywhere on the document. This really sucks!

In general, you software has gotten less useful with every update for the last 5 years. Who thinks these "improvements" are needed?

Please provide options and direction to turn specific or global functions on or off.
