1. Back and Forward buttons for in-PDF Navigation

   Dear Adobe Support,

   This is to request a feature that would greatly enhance the usability and efficiency of your PDF readers. I am referring to the back and forward buttons that would allow users to navigate through the links and bookmarks within a PDF document.

   As a researcher, I often read scientific papers that have thousands of links to equations, figures, tables, references, and other sections. These links are very useful for understanding the content and following the logic of the paper. However, without the back and forward buttons, it is very frustrating and time-consuming to navigate through these links. One has to manually scroll or use the page navigation toolbar to go back to the previous page or position, which often disrupts my reading flow and concentration. Sometimes, I even lose track of where I was before clicking on a link.

   Even though your PDF readers have some features that can help with navigation, such as the page thumbnails panel, the bookmarks panel, and the automatic scrolling, none of these features can replace the convenience and simplicity of the back and forward buttons.

   I think that adding the back and forward buttons to your PDF readers would be a valuable and appreciated improvement for millions of users, especially those who deal with academic, technical, or legal documents.

   This feature is hardly available in any web browsers or other PDF viewers. It would be great if Adobe, as the leader and pioneer in PDF technology, could also implement this feature in its products.

   I hope that you will recognize my request as something simple yet of radical importance and forward it to the product management team.

5. Files on iPad Are Blank

   About one third of my pdf files stored on my iPad cannot be opened by Acrobat. Or, I should say, the files 'pretend' to open, but display only blank pages. Acrobat displays the correct number of pages, but all pages are blank. The bug is generally independent of file size, but somewhat more common with large files. There is not issue with memory on my iPad as there is over 200GB of space available. The but is also independent of where the file is 'stored,' whether 'On this iPad,' in iPad Files, or in OneDrive. The bug makes Acrobat for iPad virtually useless, and needs to be addressed promptly.

   I cannot access Adobe Acrobat files from Apple Files or save Acrobat pdfs to Apple files. This is a key organizing feature missing from the platform.

7. Add preference for quickly opening bookmarks. The current location for

   Currently the iPhone or iOS app for adobe acrobat(reader or otherwise) nests bookmarks down two levels of clicks. First you have to click the ‘•••’ then you have to click “Bookmarks.” Then you have your first level of bookmarks. And at times each bookmark will have subsequent bookmarks because not all pdf are small. Some have multiple chapters or subjects and thus nested organization is required.

   Please consider a feature to add to preferences to show bookmarks or other features on bottom bar or let me view bookmarks while I view the doc. Because you may not click the correct bookmark the first time. Bookmarks should allow easier browsing. An older version had it pop out from the left. This was superior because the UX design allowed less tedious actions to get to it.

   OR a gesture to swipe open bookmarks or a custom definable action such as choosing a highlighter or other feature available on reader and pro.

8. toolset on right hand side or hide

   I am left handed and annotate documents while reading in split screen mode. 1.) an option to hide toolset would help. In new mode the toolset is in the way of reading. 2.) an option as in other iOS adobe apps to move the toolset to the other side of the screen for left handed individuals.

10. Change text size in liquid mode

    As a non subscriber (Sorry but it is just TOO cost prohibitive and I only use it to read long form text I converted to PDF from the web) in liquid mode so I don’t have to scroll and end up with arthritic hand cramps. I do not have the ability to change the text size in liquid single page mode. I really need it larger. I see the option but it must only work for subscribers. I know I have the ability to zoom but when I do I lose all the text in the margins. I would love if you could make changing text size in this mode free. I just want to read long book-like web text easily page by page like a book. I also would prefer to tap a certain spot (margin or button) rather than swipe to go to the next page. This would be easier on arthritic hands.

13. Insert text - adding paragraph and space doesn't allow to post a comment

    Hi!

    I would like to report an issue with comment tools. I'm using Version 2024.001.20643 | 64 bit.

    When I want to add a space or indicate that a new paragraph should be added, I use Insert Text tool. I click where I want to add space/paragraph, the general insertion caret appears and when I press space bar or Enter I can't post the comment. The insertion caret doesn't change when pressing any of those keys. I can't post the comment, either.

    As you can see on the image attached, I've added the space and the Post function is grey and not active.

    To give you a bit of background information, why we need this. We import the comments from PDF to InDesign: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/import-pdf-comments.html

    This helps us a lot with updating our files. It does work with the text, which I use on the daily basis. I don't want to add comment "add line-break".
    If I choose to use Insert the text tool and type "add line-break", when the comment will be imported and accepted in InDesign, it will change the text to "add line-break". We are using now different type of comment to avoid this designer mistake, which is less convenient.

    In some previous versions of Acrobat (not sure when it stopped working), I was able to add space or paragraph by using the Insert Text tool and pressing Enter or space bar, following the instruction I shared in my original post. Now I can't.

    Files Shared by others and Shared by you are not appearing in the tabs. It is only showing in recent. Comments or mark ups done on the files will not sync to main sharer when done on recent.

19. Create PDF from webpage

    For those who have an Acrobat Pro account, let us create PDF files from webpages using Acrobat for iOS just like we can with the Windows version.

    I want to save an article on a webpage to capture the content into a file, but I can’t PDF it. As a workaround, I suppose I can select all the content, copy and paste it to Word and then PDF the Word file, but since I would have it in Word, I would not necessarily need PDF.
