  1. The app should respect the OS setting to always show scroll bars. Instead, the scroll bar disappears after scrolling even though the OS setting is to always show scroll bars.

    This is an accessibility problem and makes it impossible to drag the scroll bar with a pen.

  2. Please, keep the Toolbar menus as they have been; there is no benefit to the professional end-user community for the change, we don't have the time to learn yet another new way to do something that works fine in the original format. We know you are bored. Please find something else to do. We appreciate that you kept a lifeline out of the mess that was done, truly. On the next security patch update; kill that bloody "new menu" option. It'll wind up becoming unsupported, and another security surface opportunity for villains.

  3. When the Comment tool is open and highlighting is selected to change its color or when the Properties toolbar is used to change highlighting color, one matrix of 40 predefined colors appears. With the new interface, when the Comment toolbar is closed, a different matrix with 18 predefined colors appears. Two matrix formats makes assigning consistent colors for filtering or other tasks a real pain. Change the new pop-up to include all 40 colors and the "Other Color..." option.

  4. I've been using the new edition of Adobe Acrobat Pro for a month or so now, convinced the new layout woudl become intuitive and better; it hasn't. The revised version is very very frustrating. In addition, I'm now having trouble with Distiller producing quality pdf's. Distiller often produces documents without OCR and I can't even highlight text. I've found Microsoft's print to pdf feature to work much more reliably. This is a real shame. Adobe used to have realiable straightforward products (e.g. Reader and Distiller). Now, they've been revamped and, frankly, don't work well. Not sure if Adobe has a…

  5. I work with 'White text on Black' option. But often, the content is not readable and I have to temporarily turn off the 'Use High Contrast colours for document text' option and turn it back again. Presently, I have to access the option through Edit->Accessibility->Setup Assistant->Next button and click 'Next' another three times each time I need to change the setting.

    Please provide an easy way to quickly turn on/off the High Contrast option? I am using Acrobat Reader 2023.008.20421 on Windows 11 Home

  6. Please see this discussion:

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/text-default-highlight-bug/m-p/14318127#M443956

    TL;DR: Default highlight color should not change every time highlight color is changed for some text

  7. In the 'New Acrobat' UI, I got a new floating bar on the left top. However, sometimes it hovers over the content and is annoying. I want to have a option/button to collapse it to a small size, and on mouse hover/click it will be expanded again.

  8. To enhance Adobe Reader, several improvements can be considered. Firstly, optimizing performance and reducing resource consumption would enhance user experience, making the application faster and more responsive. Additionally, implementing advanced annotation features, such as collaborative editing and real-time comments, would facilitate efficient document collaboration. Improved security measures, like advanced encryption and secure cloud integration, could enhance data protection. A more intuitive and customizable user interface would make navigation and document management more user-friendly. Lastly, regular updates and bug fixes are essential for addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring the software's stability, ensuring a smoother and safer experience for users.

  9. Print current view is a great feature when working with engineering drawings that were intended for printing larger than A4, but when one only has an A4 printer. However I have found sometimes when combined with poster mode say to split a page into two sections the output from the printer doesn't match preview. E.g. printing page 139 of attached PDF as a preview of two landscape pages sometimes results in printer a grid of 4. Printer is Brother L3510, Adobe is version 2023.006.20380 64 bit windows.

  10. As a devoted user of Adobe Acrobat, I appreciate the powerful tools it provides for working with PDF documents. However, I believe there is room for enhancement in the area of document markup and annotation. There should be a part of the user interface where you could link and include US Cook Groups The proposed feature is a "Contextual Markup Palette" designed to streamline the annotation process and improve overall user efficiency.

  11. We use adobe reader to access the internal secure documents with username log in and password. Normally these files are electronics schematics made from an OrCAD software. Recently when I found a problem in adobe reader during display of these secure documents. The text and lines all will be displayed in gibberish way and sometime the desktop background also display in adobe reader secure documents. I tried to repair the adobe reader, unfortunately that didn’t work. But this problem only solves after I try to uninstall and re-install again only. But it’s not possible to uninstall and re-install again and…

  13. Please remove the "+ Create" button from the taskbar of Adobe Reader. It is too easy to incorrectly click on this button and annoyingly then takes time for the program to generate a blank page.

  14. New layout of Adobe Reader is utterly counterproductive, and makes everyday use of Adobe Reader much slower and confusing.
    I, as well as many other users I know, am using Bookmarks and Pages in at least 95% of times when I use Reader. Therefore, they should be placed on the left, where they are expected to be (it is simply a standard for similar "master-detail" situations).
    Also, primary tools, like paging, zoom-in and -out, are placed in a bottom-right corner, just like they were hiding?! But these are the basic tools, and they must be placed centrally, either on top…

  15. Have experienced an issue where when you click on the Properties button on the Print window, the Properties window is unclickable. This was raised by one of our users who had experienced this on multiple computers we had provided them over the years.

    Initially thought it was a printer driver issue, but I was able to replicate this on multiple different printer brands with different drivers (including the latest). Mainly tested with Konica and HP printers. This could be reproduced on different computers running Windows 10.

    To replicate, you have to click on the Properties a number of times and…

  16. an option to export pdf in txt files to be used in AI, for asking and for summarizing.
    When exporting ask the maximum number of tokens(words) per each file, because there is a maximum number of words in each file when uploading to ai, so adobe exports in several files so you can upload in services like keymate.ai, you could check keymate.ai, to understand clearly the requiriments.
    exporting a clean file whenever possible, without page number, headers, etc.

  17. There is a malfunction with the read out loud feature. It stops reading if it reached hyperlinked text or italics. In the attached doc, you can confirm that the read out loud feature will stop both on the second and third paragraphs when it reaches the hyperlinked text, as well as when the word DEI is italicized and bolded. It either stops or skips to the next page. This needs to be fixed and does not meet accessibility standards.

  18. I want to simply click then release the mouse wheel and then be able to scroll up and down, say, a 60 page document at the exact speed I wish, stopping and starting as I wish, simply by then moving the mouse on the mat up and down, no further button pressing required, no further clicking required. This is a standard, indispensably brilliant functionality I use on every single web page I visit, Word document or Email I read, it is only Adobe reader which does not have this basic mouse functionality, other PDF readers all have it as well,…

  19. To reproduce the issue:
    * Open any PDF;
    * Choose "Print" and select as printer "Microsoft Print to PDF";
    * Press the "Print" button;
    * Now Windows asks where to save the PDF file (Save Printoutput as);
    * Now press Cancel to cancel this window (for instance because this Microsoft Print to PDF was still active from a previous print, and now you wanted to print to a real device instead);
    * You get a message that the document couldn't get printed. Press "Close";
    * Now you get a message that an error occured during printing of the document. Press…
