  1. Clicking on internal links in pdfs make you jump to the pointed position: E.g. in scientific papers, if you click on the source number you jump the source which is normally at the end of the pdf.

If you want to continue reading it is (as far as I know) impossible to jump back. It would be nice to include some options inspired by browsers: I would like to have the option to open the same pdf in a new tab/window again at the desired position so that after checking the source you can continue reading in the original tab.…

  3. The automatic OCR feature needs to be dropped and replaced with the option to use freely. It should be an option because we pay for this service. Clicking the box for text recognition does not work, it simply turns my pdf into jpg which then makes it uneditable.

  4. I would like to use my 2-in-1 for reading PDFs, but I want to swipe left and right to change the page. It currently only supports swiping up and down, which is extremely counter intuitive!

  5. Steps to reproduce the issue:
    1) Open any PDF
    2) Choose the hand tool (or select tool) from the toolbar user interface
    3) Close the PDF (progam does not need to close)
    4) Open the PDF again
    5) Note which tool is now chosen (it is not the one you changed to)

    Environment: Windows 7

Expected result: The setting to be remembered after closing the program or PDF and opening the program or PDF again next time.

Observed result: Changing from select to hand or hand to select setting in the toolbar UI (Toolbar Item:->Select and Zoom Tools)

    Working Function:…

  6. After a recent update, all user interface is getting rendered with wrong (very small) text size, on a setup with text scale 150% (4K 40" monitor).

Note that the window caption bar is rendered with correct text size, because it's done by USER.DLL

  10. New Adobe updates (downloaded 9/17/20) always give an "out of suffix" warning before opening a file. The problem occurs when trying to open a file for viewing and when generating a new PDF from another program. The warning is not causing issues within the PDF itself, it's just annoying to have to click "Ok" several times on this warning every time before being able to open a file. It is also unclear what the warning means or what it affects.

  11. It is absolutely unacceptable that the Acrobat Reader changes the system cursor, and doesn't allow for some method of disabling this!
It shows that Adobe have ZERO respect for their customers.

I have a vision impairment. I have changed my Windows cursor to a very visible, fat, red cursor, because otherwise I lose track of where it is. But Adobe's opinion on that is "********!!!!" apparently.

    Why?

Why do you hate your customers, Adobe?

  12. Since I do not use these buttons, and can use keyboard shortcut I want to remove them as when have muti-windows open and Reader is small portion of screen, the only visible tools are not useful. Other windows may not be Reader. The only useful tools are the find and page. This worked well in older versions of reader and acrobat in general.

  14. I signed in using the wrong email account. When I tried to sign out so that I could sign in with the correct account, the service would not allow me to sign out until I had agreed to sign up for a seven day trial on the initial account. It seems like a very bad design to not let users sign out until they agree to a trial

  15. When the DDE command "DocGoToNameDest" is called in Reader DC 2021 x64 (Win10 Pro 21H1 x64) by a x86 program, the Reader crashes. The same call in the x86 and earlier Reader versions works without any problems.
The DDE command "DocOpen" works in the x64 version without any problems, that is, the handle to conversation is correct.
In addition, the x64 Reader is only entered in the registry under "Computer \ HKEYCURRENTUSER \ SOFTWARE \ Adobe \ Adobe Acrobat" and not in "... \ Acrobat Reader" and requires "acroviewA21" instead of "acroviewR21" as the service name.

  17. Hi,

We have installed the latest Adobe Reader(2021.005.20048) and the MIP plugin(AIPPlugin2100520048RdrDC.msi). Now we can view the banner, but a label name is not correctly displayed in the banner. There is a problem with turkish character in the label name as seen in the attached screenshot.

A label below should be “İç Kullanıma Özel\Kişisel Veri”. This seems a bug of MIP plug-in when it retrieves and displays label names in Turkish.

Can you recommend us any solution to fix this problem?

    Thanks for your help.

  18. Many PDF documents contain internal links. When clicking on these, the user is taken to another part of the document. It would be incredibly useful to me and my colleagues if there was a 'preview link' option. Perhaps this could work by hovering the mouse over the link, and the preview to the link pops up in a small temporary window, allowing you to quickly view the link, without redirecting to a different page.

The motivation for this is as follows: In mathematical sciences, these internal links often refer to equations earlier in the document, which are being combined to…

  19. The PDF/UA ("tagged PDF") standard was established in 2012 to add accessibility features to the PDF format using a system of tags.

The tags add semantic information to a document, "marking up" such elements as headings, lists, figures, tables and other common document idioms.

PDF/UA also offers a 'read order' feature, which allows content to be presented in a non-visual way which corresponds to the intended sequence.

These features may be created and edited using Acrobat Pro, which is good. although Acrobat Pro is currently unable to generate or accurately assess a fully compliant PDF/UA file without additional 3rd party…

Need a feature which can translate PDF text from Russian to Dutch, Russian to English please.
As the PDFs aren't like Obama's bc; I can't just open layers in Illustrator to copy & paste, then use a google translator. Plus, with crochet patterns, meaning is everything.
For now I am paying a lady in Petrograd to do the English trans for me. Thanks, research0digo a/t gee male!
