1. Complaint about the lack of an option to set the reading mode as default in Adobe Acrobat

   I have been a user of Adobe Acrobat for many years. I have used the application to read, create, and edit PDF documents on my personal computer and mobile device.

   Overall, I am satisfied with the application, but I have an important complaint that I would like to bring to your attention.

   There is no option to set the reading mode as default in Adobe Acrobat. This means that every time I open a new PDF document, I have to manually disable the tools and options that I do not need.

   This situation is very frustrating, as it forces me to waste time and effort every time I want to read a PDF document.

   I understand that Adobe wants to offer a wide range of tools and options to users. However, I believe it is important for users to have the ability to choose which tools and options they want to use.

   Therefore, I ask that you include an option to set the reading mode as default in Adobe Acrobat. This option would be greatly appreciated by users who only need to read PDF documents without having to deal with unnecessary tools and options.

2. Simplify. Too many toolbars and its annoying

   Effectively, there are now 4 tool bars in Adobe Reader - one on each side of the document screen and two on top. While the loss of document space is not significant in general consider how even those minor losses affect users on laptops (varying screen sizes) and tablets. We have no option to dock and undock the floating tool bar with the rest of the tool icons on the second ribbon on the top. We also can't hide nor close the options list on the right-hand side of the screen although all these options are also available under editing (redundant). For me it also causes mild anxiety. I should have the option to hide the various tool bars except the main one at the top which has the main menu for a more immersive experience. On that point, is this 1999? Full screen mode doesn't mean only full screen to be only escaped (Esc). Your engineers should interpret this user requirement to mean immersive with easy but unobtrusive access to tools. Microsoft word got this right...learn. Finally, my windows task bar is on the left-hand side of my desktop not the bottom as most people might. It is also set to hide until I hover to that corner of the screen. When I am using Adobe, I am unable to access my taskbar by doing to the corner of my screen. Please also fix this issue and ensure your products is dynamic for different use cases.

10. Can't scroll page immediately after zooming in/out

    After the latest updates, Adobe Reader won't allow me to quickly scroll through pages using the arrows after zooming in/out with the shortcut ("ctrl" + "+" or "ctrl" + "-"). I must wait until the "zoom panel" is hidden before scrolling with the arrows once again. That makes me wait to long to scroll the page without using the mouse. So I please ask you to revert that. Please, make the focus stay on the page, not on the "zoom panel", after zooming in/out using shortcuts.

    BUG REPORT:
    I have been able to identify the suspect for the computer issues. The computer and its firmware, operating system, applications etc. are up to date so those can be ruled out as a source for the trouble.
    Windows 10, Adobe Reader continuous release version 2023.006.20230

    Symptoms: Adobe reader freezes, other applications freezes as well, and crash (for example MS Teams, Excel, Outlook). This happens several times a day when opening some specific files with Adobe reader.

    And the complex file name causes this. Exact copy of the same file but with short and simple name does not cause issues.

    I have named the standards downloaded from the national standards online library with descriptive name. I have copied the title from the content and pasted that as a file name:
    problematic name:
    SFS-EN 61508-3 Sähköisten elektronisten ohjelmoitavien elektronisten turvallisuuteen liittyvien järjestelmien toiminnallinen turvallisuus. Osa 3 Ohjelmistovaatimukset.pdf

    And it works with simple name: SFS-EN 61508-3.pdf

    So the problematic file name has several characteristics, that are not taken into account in Adobe's quality control (software testing):
    - long file name
    - file name contains Scandinavian letters

    Feel free to repeat the problem, and run appropriate dynamic analysis tools and debuggers to spot the memory leak in the product code. And please fix it, and release a patch for the bug fix. And for the sake of quality, perform root cause analysis and fix the errors in the design phases and documents, there must be lots of similar bugs clustered.
