    Seach function is not working when using paratheses "(" or commas ","

    Industry standard documents for medical equipment, the DICOM conformance statements contain DICOM tags. The format is (xxxx,xxxx)
    Search for this in a PDF is not possible. There are two issues:

    • starting a search with a parenthesis "(" show not results. (see screenshot is attached document)

    • search for text with a comma "," shows -no matches- when clicking on one of the items in the search result list, where there are many matches.

  2. Bug Report - Adobe Reader free version forced sign in and hijacked .json file association

    Posting this on behalf of a client using WIndows 11. She attempted to open a PDF with Adobe Reader both at work and home, expecting to be able to open and view the PDF as normal, only it suddenly forced her to sign in. Once she signed in, the .json files on both her computers were forcibly associated to Adobe, even though it can't open .json files. It is possible the app upgraded to Pro without a subscription, which I have read is a notable issue experienced by users. This is an issue as she was using a PYQT6 app…

  3. BUG Acrobat DC - multiple updates - same version

    Acrobat DC appears to update TWICE after a number of days.
    See the attached history and release dates.

    The first instal was created soon after the release was announced.
    The subsequent instal appears automatically a few days later.

    This HAS to be a BUG. Please investigate and fix a.s.a.p.

  5. Simplify subscription model

    Adobe Acrobat Pro subscription without (additionally paying for) bulk such as Photoshop Express, Premiere Rush, Cloud Storage, AI, Firefly and whatnot. Just a program for locally reading, creating, editing, signing, searching, comparing, converting, optimzing... PDFs.

  6. Restore Adobe Reader's Fill & Sign option font selection feature!!!

    It looks it is not taken into account that for the languages with diacritic characters (like in Polish language for example) when a text filled contains diacritic characters a sheriff type font is seleted automatically and when a text does not contain diacritic characters - a non-sheriff type font is seleted automatically. Moreover the font sizes do not match. That leads to situation where the same document presents the texts with significantly different fonts and finally it looks rather unprofessionally.
    Note that in general a non-sheriff type font is preffered.

    With the introduction of Adobe’s powerful AI and editing tools, PDF editing has become easier than ever. However, this poses a major challenge to the psychological trust of "the vast majority of light users."

    For decades, ordinary users have perceived a .pdf file as a digital equivalent of a "printed paper"—an unalterable, finalized document. They do not check properties (Ctrl+D) or look for hidden security tabs. They simply open the viewer, read the file, and trust that it is the definitive, original version.

  8. BUG: Choose Paper Source by PDF page size source and Print Support App v4 API design guide

    Acrobat Pro: 2026.001.21691 (64-bit):
    Using Virtual Printer PSA API v4 based designed drivers, Choose Paper Source by PDF page size does not function as expected.

    Preview indications within Acrobat's print dialog correctly choose PageMediaSize member within PageMediaSizeFeature of WorkflowPrintTicket, however during actual printing process, the same member(s) are not chosen.

    Instead, driver preferences default page size selection is seen in the delivered WorkflowPrintTicket. Both can be observed within the OnPrintTicketValidationRequested() event. The PDL being generated is Postscript.

    This occurs for single page PDFs, as well as those that are multipage with varying sizes. In either case all pages perfectly match…

    I just installed version 2026.001.21691, 64 bit, running on Windows 11. When I disable scrolling, and I'm in the "2 pages side by side" mode, when I click the arrow to go forward or backward, I get a popup that says “Bad parameter.”

  14. Running multiple freelance profiles without getting banned

    I have been freelancing for a while and I want to branch out into different niches under separate profiles to attract different clients. The problem is the main platforms are really strict about having only one identity. How do people handle this without getting flagged and losing everything overnight?

  15. Stop Resetting my Preferences

    I'm going to just remove the entire app if you don't stop changing my preferences. I DON'T want adobe to automatically open every PDF I generate or download. I keep deselecting the defaults in my preferences. But the buttons keep getting turned back on.

  16. Dropdown menus are too large

    I'm using a PDF that has a series of dropdown menus. For some reason, within the last week or two, it's changed so that now the text box scaling has gotten way too big. Used to be the text box was the same size as the text field, but now the box is zoomed in.

    I often use Acrobat to review scanned IDs and official documents for online applications and verification. Sometimes, after scanning from a phone or converting files to PDF, the text and image quality become slightly blurry, especially for smaller details.

    Summary
    Acrobat Reader becomes unresponsive when opening multiple PDFs using the /n command-line argument (separate processes). Issue reproducible outside any third-party apps.

    Steps to Reproduce

    Open Command Prompt
    Run:

    "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /n "C:\Path\File1.pdf"

    Run again with a different PDF
    Scroll/switch between files

    Expected
    PDFs remain responsive

    Actual
    App becomes unresponsive

    2025.001.20630: also logs AdobeCollabSync.exe failure
    2025.001.20756: no failure, but still sluggish/unresponsive

    Acrobat Reader に「すべてのページのレイヤを非表示」コマンドを追加していただきたいです。

    道路台帳図面やCALS対応図面など、レイヤを多数含むPDFを扱う業務では、
    必要なレイヤだけを確認するために、毎回すべてのレイヤを手動でオフにする必要があります。

    現在は「すべてのページのレイヤを表示」はありますが、全レイヤを一つずつ非表示にするしか方法がなく、レイヤ数が多い図面では
    作業に大きな手間がかかっています。

    「すべて非表示」「すべて表示」などの一括操作が可能になると、
    業務効率が大幅に向上します。

  20. Hide all layers

    I would like to request a new feature in Adobe Acrobat Reader:
    “Hide all layers” (and optionally “Show all layers”).

    In civil engineering and public works (such as road ledger drawings and CALS-compliant PDFs),
    we often work with PDF files that contain many layers. Currently, layers must be turned off
    one by one, which is very time-consuming when handling drawings with a large number of layers.

    A single command to hide all layers at once would greatly improve workflow efficiency.
