An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedI found a work-around on the web that preserves the superscripting (at least for my installation). At the end of your comment, add two hard returns (two Enter key presses) before saving the comment.

An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedAvoid using the Comment bar's pencil, line, etc. drawing tools. Several of the tools can be inadvertently moved from the desired location. Use Acrobat's commenting tools for most proofreading. Select the affected text, right click, and select the appropriate tool from the context sensitive pop-up menu. The markup will be anchored to the affected text.

An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedSounds like you are unnecessarily increasing your workload (and that of your recipient) by using more than one commenting method. I suggest you stick to the standard highlighting, text insertion, etc. tools and not construct a polygon. Creating and adjusting a (complex) polygon adds to your workload commensurately, but the polygon is not anchored to the affected text like the standard commenting tools.

Hi All,
We have provided a registry protected fix, some users confirmed that this worked for them.
Could you please try this at your end as well and let us know your feedback?
Kindly make sure you are on the latest DC build(20.012.20043) and then follow the steps from the attached word file: “Steps.docx”.Regards,

Could anyone please upload a video link showing the issue? Meanwhile we are trying to ascertain the scenarios where it does not work.

An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedAnother addendum...
When the "Document and comments with sequence numbers on separate pages" layout is selected, perhaps the boxed sequence numbers could inherit the colors of their respective comments. On black & white text pages, the sequence numbers are often difficult to discern. An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedAddendum to my earlier comment...
Saving preferences could be accomplished two ways:
- First, at the program level (Edit>Preferences>Commenting) for setting basic personal preferences.
- Second, when creating a comment summary. Add options on the Create Comment Summary pop-up to name/save the current settings, load named settings, and delete named settings. An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedAmen. It would be very useful to save Comment Summary preferences!

An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedAdd another to my previous suggestion...
- In a previous version of Acrobat, one could highlight text on a page and press the key combination Ctrl-B to create a bookmark that captures the highlighted text as its name. Now, doing the same steps produce an "Untitled" bookmark; i.e., a default bookmark without the text capture (ignoring the highlight).
Please restore this capability.Carl Alexander supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedAdd to this change for bookmarks:
- If a native file (e.g., Word) has a table of contents, list of illustrations, list of tables, etc., these should become Adobe bookmarks in the conversion process. Their styles could be preserved on conversion.
- Set up automatic styling for bookmarks so that upper level bookmarks are formatted differently from lower levels. If a bookmark is demoted or promoted, its styling should be changed without manual inputs.
- The styles should be stored as part of the file they are used in and as separate files for use in other files.
- A mouseover pop-up long form title could describe the bookmarks' destination contents.
- A bookmark summary feature could create a graphical tree of the bookmarks. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Carl Alexander commentedI am a technical writer. My document updates are derived from multiple sources and projects. If Acrobat could tag and categorize comments (like Outlook), creators and reviewers could sort and/or filter for the topic of interest.
I suggest that you investigate the Create Comment Summary feature.
