Please restore ability to copy and paste comment shapes (arrow, line, rectangle, oval) from one PDF to another
Since updating to Acrobat Pro DC (version 2017.012.20098), I cannot individually copy arrow, line, rectangle, or oval shapes (with or without accompanying comments) from one PDF and paste them into another PDF. As an editor, I use these tools all day to mark corrections and I regularly have the need to carry over unaddressed/outstanding edits to the next version of the project. Without the ability to simply copy and paste, I have to redo a lot of work—losing efficiency and opening up room for error. Please restore this fundamental function!
Could anyone please upload a video link showing the issue? Meanwhile we are trying to ascertain the scenarios where it does not work.
Regards,
Arvind

I could copy/paste rectangles (select the shape and control-C then paste with the regular keyboard shortcuts) in Acrobat Pro DC on a PC, but just switched to a Mac and cannot perform that exact same task. A big productivity issue! Users have been raising this for 1.5 years. You should be able to resolve this.

I now have Acrobat Pro DC Version 2019.02.20049 and the ability to copy and paste text and boxed text comments and shapes from one marked-up document to another opened document has returned. Maybe it was always there? I don't know, but it's good to have it.

where is the arrow to point to areas in PDF

I *completely* agree — I need to reuse comments frequently, and not have to draw each individually. How stupid to remove this ability.

I totally agree. still not fixed and it was once such a useful feature. Deeply annoying now.. Does anyone have a workaround?

When i copy and paste connected line shape or rectangle or any other drawing shape (comment) it pastes into another pdf but with a 90% rotation; AND it is impossible to rotate the copied shape or the underlying pdf image to align. PATHETIC

Please explain why and how an option which was available in a previous version is not included in the new version. And explain why anyone should use Acrobat DC instead of Bluebeam.

Please fix this! I agree that it is ridiculous that one can't cut/paste. It is such a basic functionality.

I completely agree! I have further noticed the scratch memory does not always retain a copied comment. When I have a repetitive comment I sometime must keyboard it over and over again. This is a time waster for those of us who are doing freelance piece work where time is money.

PLEASE FIX THIS! I'm so frustrated spending twice or three times as long on a document simply because I can't cut and paste shapes and text boxes.

This is killing me. you need to fix this.

Totally agree. Just received a work laptop with Acrobat Pro DC -- and the inability to copy and paste comment shapes (arrow, line, rectangle, oval) -- WITHIN the SAME PDF -- has SLOWED DOWN my work tremendously. I'm forced to do many extra repetitive comments.

I have the same issue in copying and pasting from one PDF to another. This also happens sometimes within the same document.
