  2. I have noticed recently that the copy text function when copying some text from a PDF document doesn't work or fail to work properly after you send the computer or laptop to sleep and you wake up the computer / laptop from sleep, and the only way to get it working again is by closing down Acrobat Reader and then restarting up Acrobat Reader again.

  3. Many high-profile companies offer DaaS Solutions including Citrix, Microsoft Azure Desktop, Amazon Web Services (WorkSpaces), MTM Technologies (AnywhereApp) and VMware (Horizon Cloud). In this post, we run through some of the major benefits of Desktop as a Service or DaaS and why it is becoming so popular among today’s enterprises.
    What Is DaaS?
Desktop as a Service (DaaS) is an exciting cloud-based technology that lets businesses deliver virtual desktops to any device from anywhere. Client devices act as a conduit for remote desktop processing without the need for onboard hardware, delivering organisations a host of benefits that simply aren’t…

  4. In a recent blog, we outlined the rollout of Windows Azure Virtual Desktop this summer, which is really a repackaging of the original Windows Virtual Desktop. The name change and single-user pricing structures have been the topic of much discussion over the last several weeks, but not many are talking about the benefits of implementing this comprehensive virtualization service at your organization. Consulting with a professional managed services firm can help you to implement Windows 10 Cloud PC and other IT solutions that can help your business become more streamlined and efficient.

With Azure, platform-specific features allow companies to deploy…

  5. Acrobat Reader only supports signedData/version 1. Would be preferred to support signedData/version 4 (v2)
so ETSI EN 319 122-1 V1.1.1 (2016-04) support required. (signer-attributes-v2). Support signedData / certificates and Attribute certificate v2.

The ESS signing-certificate attribute or the ESS signing-certificate-v2 attribute as defined in

  7. As explained in this post (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/get-rid-of-7-day-trial-after-rotate-from-context-menu-within-plug-in/m-p/12897117#M90403), we'd like to get rid of the pop up when a user clicks on the rotate buttons in the context menu.
In the base Adobe Reader it is possible to use other menu's, but when another piece of software uses the plug in, these menu's aren't available and users are left with either the rotate buttons which generate the pop up, or the only option Rotate to the right.
Please let the rotate buttons in the context menu act without the advert for the 7-day trial.
    TIA!

  8. The PDF/UA ("tagged PDF") standard was established in 2012 to add accessibility features to the PDF format using a system of tags.

The tags add semantic information to a document, "marking up" such elements as headings, lists, figures, tables and other common document idioms.

PDF/UA also offers a 'read order' feature, which allows content to be presented in a non-visual way which corresponds to the intended sequence.

These features may be created and edited using Acrobat Pro, which is good. although Acrobat Pro is currently unable to generate or accurately assess a fully compliant PDF/UA file without additional 3rd party…

  9. I could never get the default zoom to be "fit width", even making the settings in multiple places in Preferences (Accessibility, Documents, Page Display). I'm finally fed up with Adobe Acrobat. It's so frustrating to click on a page on the bookmark, and having to adjust the zoom level EVERY SINGLE TIME. I found that Foxit allows me to make AND KEEP the selection of fit width.

  10. Allowing a person to go through and edit how some text is read aloud, for example equations. Instead of being read literally, letting a person select or highlight the equation and enter in what it means in natural language.

Example: A{p(t), q(t)} is currently read as "A p t q t" when, in the context of the book, it should be "Some function, A, of the momenta and spatial phase space coordinates".

I don't see a way something very context-dependent could be programmed in, so having a way for the reader to manually change how the equation is interpreted and…

  11. Any chance that Adobe Reader will be integrated with Microsoft Edge Chromium in a similar way Adobe Reader is integrated with Internet Explorer 11 via ActiveX? Users opening pdf in IE are not even aware they see Adobe with plenty of features. ActiveX is legacy technology and not supported by modern browsers but maybe Adobe plans some deeper integration with Microsoft? I'm working in corporate environment with 70 housand users and received feedback that Microsoft Edge built-in pdf reader cannot open many pdf-s created in Adobe products. So in Edge browser there is option to redirect PDF to Adobe reader by…

  12. When having multiple tabs open from diferent PDF documents, would be nice to have to option to save current session to close the program and be able to reopen as left in the previous state. Sometimes Windows is requiring a restart for updates and you don´t want to loose all the documents open for the next day.

  13. Look, I get it. Reader DC is a free product Adobe would love to sell paid products/services. That's absolutely fine. But placing a toolbar button that suggests a basic feature such as rotate view may require the paid version/subscription is disingenuous at best. Seems a bit deceptive when it gets down to it. Not a fan Adobe!

  15. It is absolutely unacceptable that the Acrobat Reader changes the system cursor, and doesn't allow for some method of disabling this!
It shows that Adobe have ZERO respect for their customers.

I have a vision impairment. I have changed my Windows cursor to a very visible, fat, red cursor, because otherwise I lose track of where it is. But Adobe's opinion on that is "********!!!!" apparently.

    Why?

Why do you hate your customers, Adobe?

  17. HI. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 and Adobe Reader DC.
I think there is security bug at Adobe Reader DC when handling 3d-pdf files.

The problem is enabling 3d measurement tools at Adobe Reader DC with secured 3d-pdf files made by Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020.
I contacted to region customer service about this problem and received this function is intended option.

Customer center said that you’d better to contact bug report if you want to know about further information.

I should have not have bought Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 bundle if enabling 3d measurement tools for secured 3d-pdf…

  18. Would be nice to have a check box to say 'this is the way I want my UI setup', a la Microsoft File Explorer (use this view for all folders).
The preferences as they are , are too complex
Let the user set the window the way they want
Then record that in the prefs with a single check box

  20. Mostly there are many documentations which associates lot of text info referring a specific Image or Diagram. While reading the text, it always required to imagine the diagram if it is in another page and having a window side by side when clicked on this image to use it for referring while reading the following text or comparing other diagrams could be very useful to many industries.
