Bookmarks Don't Scroll with Mouse Wheel
In the Bookmarks pane, the mouse wheel does not scroll like it should (and used to). Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines are affected, with both Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Acrobat Reader no longer closes after executing print command
This bug has been reported before. It was claimed that it was fixed in version 22.2.20191 (see this discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/adobe-stays-open-after-quick-print/td-p/13068306), but we can still reproduce it in current version 23.8.20533.
The problem is that when a print command is issued to Acrobat, the application opens, prints, but does not close again when printing is finished.
We have a customer needing to print batches containing hundreds of documents. Because Acrobat misbehaves, a batch will get stuck whenever a PDF is encountered. The only work-around we found in Acrobat is to manually close the application after each print job. Of course…

hide the "all tools" toolbar by default
hide the "all tools" toolbar by default. this toolbar is only needed sometimes. this feature is enabled for the exception instead of the rule. since it takes up one-third of the display window and is on the left, it is distracting. when it was on the right, it wasn't as distracting. when viewing many pdfs over the course of the day, having to give up one third of the screen to a useless toolbar is frustrating.

Permanently disable the "All Tools" sidebar.
If "All Tools" was a living creature, I'd destroy it with Samurai inspired violence!
If you add a "disable sidebar" function to a near future build, I'll build you a state-of-the-art spaceship that's fitted with cannons that shoot armies of blood thirsty killer crocodiles @ all your enemies. The crocodiles have cybernetic eyes that shoot swarms of heat-seeking killer bees that were trained by the legendary Samurai, Miyamoto Musashi.
Discuss my "Once In A Lifetime" offer with your DEV team & report back.

2023 version should be able to "hide the tools" option.
**** annoying to close the tools when opening a document. The "last tools state" doesn't work in the preferences. Gone back to the old look-n-feel.

Stop Check for Updates "Update Failed" condition when run by a non Administrator
Stop Check for Updates "Update Failed" condition when run by a non Administrator.
Adobe Reader version 2024.002.20895 (32bit). On some Windows 10 Pcs the "Check for Updates" function works as expected and finds updates if they are available.
On others the "Check for Updates" function fails with the "Update failed" message, when run by an ordinary user (i.e when not Run as an Administrator).
But when "Run as Administrator" that same "Check for Updates" function works normally and downloads and installs updates, if they are available.1 vote -

All Tools - Can't be set to stay closed
All Tools automatically opens when a pdf is opened. Meaning to read it in full view you have to close it every time. This is extremely annoying and makes me not want to use pdfs as much. There should be a setting to have it closed by default. And the "Remember current state of Tools Pane" has no effect, seems to be a bug.

BUG: Scroll bar disappears
The app should respect the OS setting to always show scroll bars. Instead, the scroll bar disappears after scrolling even though the OS setting is to always show scroll bars.
This is an accessibility problem and makes it impossible to drag the scroll bar with a pen.

Page up/down 1.0 pages
You need a command/keystroke to move to the same page position but 1.0 pages up/down. So if I'm zoomed in to a region on page 33, let me see the same region of page 34. Not one screen down, not to the top of the next page, not anything else. Don't move me; just change the page. (I believe this is the same in Acrobat and Acrobat Reader.)

Provide option to reverse the mouse wheel zoom direction.
When I mouse wheel away from me I expect the view to zoom out. When I scroll the mouse wheel towards me I expect to zoom in. Please add the option to reverse the mouse wheel zoom as it is so annoying that this is the only software that has the default action backwards and no option to change it.

Dock floating toolbar
Please make the floating toolbar dock-able. It is constantly covering things in my document that I would like to see, no matter where I try to position it. It is really annoying. There is a lot of space in the top menu bar area where all the icons from this toolbar can fit it, where they will be out of the way and easily accessible.

Collapse the left top floating bar
In the 'New Acrobat' UI, I got a new floating bar on the left top. However, sometimes it hovers over the content and is annoying. I want to have a option/button to collapse it to a small size, and on mouse hover/click it will be expanded again.

Expand the left flyout to the last open position with a single click.
Expand the left flyout to the last open position with a single click. Remove the step that expands the list of icons without opening a panel (such as Pages or Bookmarks).
Currently, the left flyout can be collapsed with a single click but requires two clicks to reopen the Bookmarks panel (one to expand the list of panels and the second to open the Bookmarks). Given that the list of icons is always available when a panel is open and that users typically return to the same panel once a panel is open, requiring the second click is extremely inefficient…

Uncover My Doccument
I am constantly fighting to see portions of the doccument i am working with in Acrobat reader. Either the tool bar (That I don't use) is in the way and appparently can not be hidden according to every search I have done or, the search pop up reminding me to try AI Assistant is covering a good chunk of the landscape when I need to keep the search field open. Why can we not hide the floating toolbar and why after acknowledging the AI popup does it have to keep popping up? It's annoying and feels intentionally counter productive.

Poster print not working on Mac or Windows in latest version
Poster print doesn't work in latest version of Adobe Reader - tries on both windows and mac
On mac - Once you have deselected print as image - you can try and print as poster - BUT it only prints to 1 page - what ever you select in the options - you simply cannot print over multiple pages.
On Windows - It will only allow you to print the 1st page of the poster print - you can not select or print any of the other pages.
Can this please be fixed
I am using latest version of Adobe…2 votes -
Single key accelerators don't work AGAIN. STOP RE-BUGGING YOUR RELEASES. STOP RELEASING RUBBISH.
version 2024.002.20895.
Recent windows 10 update.Single key accelerators no longer active in launch.
MUST access a menu to activate.
eg:
Reader not running.
Open a PDF, causing Reader to launch.
Click on the displayed document.
Type Z for zoom - no change; X for select - no change.
Type Alt-E to open the Edit menu, followed by ESC to close it.
The single keys now function once again.THIS IS A REPEAT PERFORMANCE OF AN OLD ANNOYING BUG.
Look up: Regression testing. Read it. Act on it.1 vote -
Generative AI prompt blocking features
When using the search function in Adobe Acrobat, the (extremely annoying) AI "help" prompt blocks text on the document. This should be removed or made smaller. Or, the option to remove generative AI from preferences should be made available for all users.

Bookmarks dont open
Stop the bookmarks opening automatically every time a PDF is opened. They have to be manually closed every time to provide more space to view the architectural drawing. Its very irritating and a very bad idea to have them opening every time as the default setting. They should be closed unless needed, not open and need closing every time.
