  1. We want the ability to export a number of Gmail emails or a Gmail Label to a PDF Portfolio like we used to do with Outlook. We now only use Gmail with Chrome and would like to continue using the export to PDF Portfolio functionality.

  2. The PDF plug-in to Word keeps failing, then Word takes forever to recover. I'm annoyed given how comparatively expensive the Adobe software is.

  3. When you combine PDFs containing signatures they are saved as a portfolio. When sending the PDF file it is not accessible within the email document itself nor directly from the downloaded tab. All you see is a giant "Get Adobe Reader " icon. It's confusing since I have Adobe Reader...apparently you have to go to your download folder, right click on PDF file and select "open with" Adobe Reader in order to access it. But then you can only view combined files individually and not as a whole. This doesn't work for our use as three or more people need…

  5. Acrobat DC's, File>Create>Combine files into a single pdf, will stop working and I will have to quit and re-open Acrobat DC. It will work for a little while and then stop working. I will go to File>Create>Combine files into a single pdf within Acrobat DC, and when I choose two .pdf files to combine the preview will not show for the two files being combined, so I exit the window. Then try to go to File>Create>Combine files into a single pdf again and it plain just doesn't do anything, so it stopped working. A quit and re-open of Acrobat DC…

  6. When I create a PDF from a Word 2008 for Mac file, the hyperlinks to urls carry over, but not the ScreenTips (designed for human use, not machine use) to tell the reader what the link is to.

I thought this feature was available based on this document: http://www.ned.uscourts.gov/internetDocs/cmecf/hyperlinking_attorneys_word.pdf (at page 32)

  7. Converting a PSD to a PDF file takes forever because of the completely unnecessary detour via Document Cloud.
Besides of serious privacy and security issues, it's just insane to upload a PSD from my harddrive, just to download it again and create a PDF, which is again saved on my harddrive.
it would be alright if it would work, but more often than not it just stops the progress bar while "uploading". Even if it works, it takes ages!

Please make an EASY OPTION (like a buton) to disable the Document Cloud.

    Sincerely,
    Everyone!

  8. • Windows 10
    • Acrobat DC Continious 2019.008.20074

I attempted to use the EMF file as the original file for PDF creation, but it can not be processed as unsupported.
In the file type of the file dialog, the EMF file is displayed, but it may not be done.
    It was done before updating.
The same file can be opened in Illustrator.

  10. Hello,

For certain documents, the "Save as Adobe PDF" option within Word 2016 is not usable. The all of the export steps appear to complete, and the resulting PDF file flickers on-screen and then closes. No file is actually saved.

I have confirmed this an issue with the following:

    Microsoft Office 2016 Version 1803 (Build 9126.2275 Click-to-Run)

    Adobe Acrobat 2015 Standard (15.006.304488)

  11. I frequently combine PDFs into one report document, and lately when I go to add footers, headers, and/or watermarks, I get an error message "An error was encountered while retrieving page content." I have to convert the entire file to .ps, THEN back to PDF, before I can add my page numbers, etc. This never used to happen. Please fix it!!

  13. When I combine PDFs that are open on my screen, intermittently a grey screen will pop up instead of the files that I want to combine. Then I have to close out all the PDFs I'm working on and then open again to combine them. This Bug needs to be fixed and did not occur on older Acrobat versions. Please help.

  14. I've used Adobe to create pdfs with multiple files for years. It's one of the programs that has been a staple of my office operations. The new Acrobat DC makes navigating to combine files much more difficult. The menu bars are not the same every time I open the program. The program saves in obscure locations on my PC which I never use. While working on combining files it often closes the active deocument while I am searching for the files I need (which weren't saved in the correct location, etc. You have wasted hours of my time. Adobe has…

  15. There is a currently unidentified issue in our organization that is preventing the Adobe Acrobat 2017 PDFMaker Office 2016 add-in from functioning in any office product.
The add-in shows up in the "Inactive add-ins" tab in the office options. When you try to reactivate the add-in, it fails, give the following error: "Load behavior: Not Loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in". If you delete, and then attempt to reinstall the add-in, the installation will fail giving this next error:" "C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2017\PDFMaker\Office\x64\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll" is not a valid Office Add-in." We have done complete Uninstall/Reinstall's of…

  16. 'Combine Files' doesn't combine. It creates 2 tabs, and that's not what I need. I need a single scrolling file of multiple pages. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. This new version is not intuitive or user friendly. It's visually ugly. There's too much clicking around to find the different tools that you need. Due to the weird organization, I'm wasting time trying to figure out how to get what I need. It's not efficient. Frankly, I hate everything about it.

  17. Frequently I need to save newstories and youtube video content. When I used Pro IX, I was able to convert the entire news webpage with the embedded video. Now, most of the time when I try to convert a news webpage, what I get looks like a jumbled version of the webpage with partial photos or placeholders for the photos or video. What happened? It seems like the capability went down. I can't seem to get any video content, and I get all the ads instead of the content I wanted.

  18. When I place a vector file (ai, eps) in InDesign, enter alt text in "object export options", then export to pdf the alt text does not carry over into Acrobat DC. When I place a raster file in Indesign and follow the same steps, it does carry over into the pdf file. I had a software engineer take a look and he said that the information is in the pdf in the back end and should display the same as using the raster file. I'd like to use the vector as it gives a crisper version of the scientific figures.

    Hi

Thanks for sharing the steps. Your problem looks to be an InDesign issue as they are unable to embed the alt text in the PDF.
Would request you to post your issue in InDesign forum.
There is nothing more we can do from Acrobat side.

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  19. I specifically said "do not open document after creation" so, while it doesn't open the specific document, it just opens Acrobat DC with all my most recent documents. Way to shove it down my throat.

  20. Can't select files and make combine work, won't clear the print que, won't save files all the time, won't, won't, won't....and won't let me sign in from a different time zone when travelling without changing the time. This is nonsense. Time to look for a version 11 left over....
