Combine Files Chokes on Pages with Images
I frequently combine PDFs into one report document, and lately when I go to add footers, headers, and/or watermarks, I get an error message "An error was encountered while retrieving page content." I have to convert the entire file to .ps, THEN back to PDF, before I can add my page numbers, etc. This never used to happen. Please fix it!!
We are closing this case from our end as there had been no response from your side. Feel free to reopen a new case if you are still facing this issue.
Thanks

Tanvi, I beg to differ with your assessment. Every other file (Word docs, Excel docs) generated using the "Save to PDF" in the print dialog box works perfectly fine after combining them into one large PDF. It's the pages with graphics, such as the example I sent you, that create the issue. So I do not accept that it is not an Adobe problem. I've seen too many examples of complaints about this when I search for a solution. I've used Adobe Acrobat Pro for many years, and have experienced this problem ONLY with Acrobat Pro XI (desktop version) and, now, Acrobat Pro DC (part of Creative Cloud).

It happens ONLY when combining multiple PDF files into one. I cannot send you an example without compromising client confidentiality. However, I can provide one PDF document (created by using "Save as PDF" in print dialog for a PowerPoint document, that will give you the same error message if you try to add a watermark. Trying to add a header or footer doesn't generate the error message; it just doesn't do anything at all. How do I get the document to you?
