Unable to view Portfolio PDF online or in email.
When you combine PDFs containing signatures they are saved as a portfolio. When sending the PDF file it is not accessible within the email document itself nor directly from the downloaded tab. All you see is a giant "Get Adobe Reader " icon. It's confusing since I have Adobe Reader...apparently you have to go to your download folder, right click on PDF file and select "open with" Adobe Reader in order to access it. But then you can only view combined files individually and not as a whole. This doesn't work for our use as three or more people need to access the file; we have thousands of files to handle, and this "glitch" is not compatible for seamless workflow. Previous version of Acrobat were much more user-friendly and allowed us flexibility of file management...this is no longer the case.
We are closing this case as this is as designed behavior as Portfolios can only be viewed in Acrobat or Reader.

2. Is there a "Combine > Options" window on the Mac version of Acrobat Pro? I couldn't find one in any menu, submenu, or preferences panel.
Thanks! -

Two questions:
1. How can this be resolved when Anonymous's original concern is not adequately addressed?
2. Is there a "Combine > Options" window on the Mac version of Acrobat Pro? I couldn't find one in any menu, submenu, or preferences panel.
Thanks! -

Tanvi .. if the PDF`s are signed ( PDF secured ) they can only be combined in a PDF Portfolio. Acrobat Pro DC 2015 classic & Acrobat Pro 2017 classic don`t let you add /insert or combine PDF`s signed with a signature ( PDF secured) in anything but a PDF Portfolio

Hi
This is expected behavior with Portfolios as the email preview or the Windows Explorer do not possess the capability to preview portfolios.
So in order to view them, you would need to open them in Reader or Acrobat.Regarding previewing them as separate files, since you are creating a Portfolio, they will appear as separate files. You can consider it as a zipped PDF of all your files in which all the files are separate just saved together in a single PDF (folder).
If you want to create a single combined file, then de-select "Save As PDF Portfolio" option in the Combine > Options window. Thanks
