No actionable information from user. CLosing the thread.

  4. It would be very helpful if Acrobat Pro were to have a format painter feature like Microsoft's. As it is, one has to go through all the form fields and change them manually one at a time after Auto doesn't deliver what is desired.

I have forwarded your request to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization. We will contact you if we need some more information on this.

  5. Font Size in Fillable Forms Text Box should have no limitation for size. Currently the limitation font size is 300pt and I constantly create Signs and Banners that use fonts size bigger that 300pt.
If you are a designer that create big designs vote for this idea!
    Thank you

  6. When creating a PDF Form from an existing document there should be a way to select a field and change the field type. Ex. change a text field into a dropdown list field

  7. Reproduce by:
Selecting one of the following from 'technology' dropdown:
    -Condensing Boiler
    -Condensing Make-up Air
    -Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation
    - Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) 11
    - Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) Multi-Unit Residential In-Suite
    - Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV)

Environment: any mac, Acrobat Pro DC 2018.009...., Acrobat Reader DC 2018.011..., likely others.

    Expected result:
dropdown populates with items from document level function, dropdown visbility toggles on. User can scroll through items to select one.

(previously tried with individual dropdowns with pre-loaded items toggling visibility, rather than one dropdown, dynamically populated -- result is the same).

    observed result:
    items populate dropdown field…

  8. Highlight Form Field function draws over the form field so instead of a nice button I get an ugly blue/red rectangle that is acting buggily anyway. It makes the document useless and I have to find a different solution than pdf questionnaire. Forcing people to switch it in some advanced menu is out of question. This feature should be on per-document basis with possible override in Acrobat preferences where you specifically state that you want to override document settings.

  9. there needs to be a way to print all of the text in a text box without using auto font size. in auto font size the font shrinks as more text is added. this is not readable. all of the text should print even if it is more than is visible in the text box on the display.

  11. When you export an interactive PDF from InDesign, form fields that define a font and size do not carry over to the actual PDF and have to be redefined in Acrobat Pro.

  12. When selecting a field from the Tools Pane, Rt-click, and selecting Properties, the Calculations tab does not work. You can enter a formula, but it will not save into the field properties.

However, if you double-click the field on the page to open the Properties, and enter the same formula in the Calculations tab, it will save it.

This is CERTAINLY a bug, as there is no reason the Properties dialog should not act the same way no matter how it was opened. And the correct action should be to save formulas that are entered into the Calculations tab.

  13. The distribute tool buttons that are available when editing forms appear to be mislabeled compared to other programs like Illustrator and InDesign. The button that has the symbol to distribute horizontally distributed selected form elements vertically. The tool tip also seems to be mislabeled.

I'm using the Windows version of CC by the way. I've compared to the other programs that have align/distribute features and believe

  14. Dropdowns need scrolling through options and the ability to type more than one letter to jump to an option in the drop down. Since users are very acquainted with filling forms out on the web, they expect this kind of interaction when filling out forms. Also, it will help save time for users.

  15. Ability to add a button in "Prepare From" that will facilitate the read out loud function, similar to a macros in excel. I button that will launch the "Read out loud" using SHIFT+CTRL+Y and SHIFT+CTRL+B. This would be amazing.

  16. During long periods of editing documents, it gets glitchy. Turns text to funky characters. Side tool bars get distorted. Then crashes suddenly. Today I worked for 6 hours on a proposal, even making sure I saved it every once and a while to be sure it didn't happen. Guess what! It happened and I lost everything except the part of the document I started with this morning.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

If this happens with multiple PDF opened with Adobe Acrobat/Reader, then you may try the troubleshooting steps given below-

    • Install the latest update of Adobe Reader. Open Reader>Help>Check for update or refer to- https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

    • If this doesn’t help, then Open >Help>Repair Installation.

    • If you still face issue, then you may uninstall the application using cleaner tool-https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

  19. Adobe let's you use Dropbox options when creating a form. However, if every Dropbox is completed with content, it doesn't allow you to convert it to be sent for signature and states errors are involved and can't be sent.

Makes no sense to add it as an option on the form side, but require an answer. If the form was for order, not everyone will select everything and it should be allowed to remain blank and still sent for signature.

The masking option is tedious and not worth the time.

  20. I have a PDF file with a Text Field whose content should be rendered using an embedded OpenType font.

    Consider the attached example PDF.

Acrobat DC uses a replacement font for rendering the text field content.

In Foxit PDF viewer, the text is rendered correctly, using the same font as in the string above the text field.
