  1. Because I have to work many times on a multitude of opened pdf files that I need to keep open for days in a row, I think a feature to restore previous session of opened documents (just like Firefox or Google Chrome) would be really helpful!

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us for you conerns.

We already have it implemented in Reader.
Do “File” → “Reopen PDFs from last session.” And that should restore all the pdfs that were present in you last session at the time of Quiting the application.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  2. Please allow the ability to copy and paste html into the password box for a PDF document.

Most users copy and paste the password from an email, which will be in html format.

But the password box only accepts plain text so you can't copy and paste it from an email. You have to paste it first into a text file, and then copy and paste it from there which is just more time consuming than necessary.

  3. Can you please hide the Acrobat Standard features, or allow the user to hide them.

I appreciate you want to encourage users to purchase the license for Standard DC, but it is mis-leading showing the features on the right side of Reader DC if you can't even use them.

Having the option to hide these features from Reader DC would be good

  4. Clients with Windows 10 1809 or more (or Win2019) trying to access a PDF via a DFS that is stored on a Windows server 2019 server are not able to open more than 1 pdf.

Can this please be fixed as Windows Sever 2019 is being used more widely.

  5. There are keyboard shortcuts to collapse bookmarks.
These shortcuts should be discoverable in the UI.
For example, the context menu for bookmarks should have the command, with the keyboard shortcut displayed next to it.

I had to do a google search to find the keyboard shortcuts explained in a user forum:
    https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/expand-collapse-all-the-bookmarks-in-a-pdf-file/td-p/2372796/page/3?page=1

  6. The sequence of UI actions below causes a repeatable freeze for me.

(Acrobat Reader DC Continuous Release 2020.006.20042
    Windows 10 Home version 1909 build 18363.815)

    1. Open a pdf
    2. Ctrl-H (Read Mode) [use full height of screen]
    3. Ctrl-0 (Zoom to page) [that's a zero, not a letter]
    4. (optional): read document
    5. Esc (leave full-screen mode)

Expect: exits full screen view, restore document in pane with bookmark sidebar

Actual: exits full screen view, but freezes. Window still occupies full screen. Content areas are BLACK. Menubar and tabs reappear, but tabs are unresponsive. Right sidebar border appears, but not left sidebar.

    Workaround: after freeze,…

  7. Please review and consider improving Two Page View to make easily readable and navigable when moving from page to page or view to view.

Currently the fonts look compressed and readability is less than optimum.

  8. It would be very useful if there was a split view feature where you could view two sections of the same document at once. Just like some text editors where you can grab a control at the top or bottom of the vertical scroll bar and pull it to make two views. Saves a bunch of time when looking at documents like datasheets, specifications, etc.

  11. In other pdf's, the selection tool is working fine.
but in this pdf file, whenever I am trying to select the text or highlight the text, it will highlight or select text in between lines space.
I have attached the screenshot in attachments.

  12. I saved a 3D-PMI file into PDF file format. When I use my desk computer with NVIDIA Quadro K2200 to view the notes in PDF, the item selected cannot highlight in red. But if I use my laptop with Intel integrated graphics card, the item selected can highlight. How this Issue happens? I have updated my driver already and my DirectX version is 12.0. All settings in AdobeReader are the same.
Could you tell me how to solver this problem?

  14. It is very inconvenient and time consuming to make multiple clicks in order to zoom in or out the document. In the older versions they were separate and easily accessible. Drop down menu style is really exhausting and time consuming for these kind of basic operations. Please separate the zoom buttons !

  15. a feature that allows selection of a random, or multiple random, pages to view on the same screen or view with a quick action while reading.

much like when physically reading a technical publication that refers ahead or behind to photos or diagrams, you'll start to hold the page(s) with maybe a finger or two so you can quickly switch back and forth.

it would be nice to select a certain random page or maybe 2-3 to show on screen while reading your current page.

another option would be the ability to select 1 or multiple pages to view then…

  16. The collapsed Right Tool Pane violates usability principles. To quickly scroll a page, users can no longer just drag the mouse cursor all the way Right, to click on the Right scroll bar. This would probably take only 1 sec. With the annoying Right Tool Pane collapsed, nesting right beside the Right scroll bar, users must now carefully drag the mouse cursor, take aim so-as-to not click on the Right collapsed pane, then can he/ she click on the right scroll bar. This is really slow and inefficient.

  17. In the influx of remote learning, students are being sent work in PDFs. Opening them through Google Classroom in an internet browser offers no way to easily edit the content and fill in answers. As this will be a way of learning for the immediate future, something needs to be rolled out to allow this to be done for free for students. Currently I have to download and then open with adobe, but it’s a lot of extra steps when it could be so much simpler.

  19. Hi. I would like to see in future versions two new improvments:
    1) set the "read mode" as de default viewing when opening every PDF file, instead of having to press "Ctrl+H" each time (just add an option in Preferences);
    2) create a new form of navigation throughout the file, a full screen thumbnail view, with page thumbnails side by side similar to what Adobe made with "Adobe Reader Touch" (too bad you discontinued that app) with a button shortcut to access it;

    Thanks
