FEATURE: Compliance of EU eIDAS regulation. Add "Add Verification Information" command to a digital signature using current time.
For Adobe Reader and Adobe Pro
Please, add the option "Add Verification Information" to a digital signature using current time without adding any timestamp to the signature. The validation shall use current time (from the user computer) instead of signature signing-time.
This could be implemented by just adding the option "Add Verification Information" when the setting Verification time > Verify Signatures Using > Current Time in the Signature Verification Preferences.
This is useful for adding verification information at current time to documents already signed by another party without adding a Time Stamp Authority (TSA) digital time-stamp embedded to the signature,…

Resolving QuickBooks Error PS058 When Downloading Payroll Updates
QuickBooks Error PS058 typically occurs due to issues with downloading payroll updates. To fix this, start by verifying your internet connection and ensuring it's stable. Next, update QuickBooks to the latest release and restart your computer. Disable any antivirus or firewall temporarily, as they might be blocking the update process. Afterward, attempt to download the payroll updates again. If the problem persists, utilize the QuickBooks Clean Install Tool to reinstall QuickBooks and try once more. Insight in signature properties (eg policy and commitment type)
With digital signatures becoming more mainstream, people are becoming more aware of what a signature means legal wise.
By ETSI standards the meaning of a signature can be defined by a signature policy and/or commitment type.
Unfortunately these eare not shown in the signature panel if present.
We woud also love to have an option for showing other properties of the signature as more and more information is embedded in it that could have legal impact.2 votes -
Use certificate->Digitally sign workflow works with Windows but fails with Mac
I want to sign a document with Acrobat Reader using my national ID-card but I am getting the "the credential selected for signing is invalid" error
The same workflow I have been successfully using on my old Windows computer, but now I am using Mac and cant make it work with that.
I start the workflow by choosing Tools->Use certificate->Digitally sign. Similarly with the Windows workflow a PIN is requested, but in Mac an authentication PIN is requested not the signing PIN. If I enter the authentication PIN then this message is shown "the credential selected for signing is invalid"…

Move the cookies prompt for Adobe Sign
Our business started using Adobe Sign this year for sending PDFs to clients for e-signatures and though the instructions are simple, we have encountered a number of clients who don't complete the signing.
We discovered that it is because the Adobe "cookies" prompt that pops up obscures the final "click to send" portion of the signing process. This is particularly confusing for our elderly clients but clients of all ages have had some difficulty due to the final step being obscured.
Thank you.

BUG: initialing option having issues
Occasionally when creating spots for initializing, it wont select on the page you wanted it to be on but instead drops down to the next page, if you redo it on the page you were initially trying to do, it just creates it somewhere else until it finally works after 3-5 tires. Users then report that when they go to sign/initial that it is asking for exta signatures that don't appear to exist on the pages. This issue for the end user is especially common for mobile users

User quota on Adobe sign documents get's spent even though redacted
Steps to reproduce:
* Using a free Adobe account send a document requesting signatures
* Send a second document requesting signatures
* Pull back the first document (Acrobat reader deducts the document from documents sent budget)
* try sending a document (that should take the second document place from the budget)
* Observe how it isn't possible as the backend hasn't deducted "spent documents" when the first document war pulled back.1 vote -
Problems with latest Adobe Acrobat Version
Good morning,
We are an IT company that distributes Adobe Acrobat pre-installed on the computers we sell to customers.
With the latest version of Adobe Acrobat (2023.006.20380) we find that many customers who need to use digital certificates to sign and cannot, either because the application gives an error or because the side submenu of the digital certificates section does not appears.
We have fixed this for now by installing an older version (2023.001.20064) and disabling the task scheduler update task.
Is there a plan to fix this problem?

Signed PDF is LTV enabled even if "Include signature's revocation status" is disabled while signing .
Observed behaviour:
The PDF generated by digitally signing in Adobe Reader is showing as LTV enabled in Adobe Reader/ Acrobat, even if the checkbox for "Include signature's revocation status" while signing is disabled in Preferences > Categories > Signatures > Creation and Appearance Preferences > When Signing.Expected behaviour:
if the checkbox for "Include signature's revocation status" while signing is disabled in Preferences > Categories > Signatures > Creation and Appearance Preferences > When Signing, then the signed PDF should not be LTV enabled. This is a bug in Adobe Reader/ Acrobat. Please rectify.

LTV enabled signature becomes Non LTV enabled automatically in Adobe Reader
A digital signature showing as "LTV enabled" in the signature panel of Adobe reader becomes "not LTV enabled" if in 'Signature Verification Preferences' dialog that opens (In Edit > Preferences, under categories, select Signatures.. From the Verification box in the Digital Signatures panel, select More...)
, we deselect the Require certificate revocation checking to succeed... checkbox.
However, the same signature again becomes LTV enabled if we select Require certificate revocation checking to succeed... checkbox.
It is a bug in Adobe Reader (latest version).

BUG - PIN filed while trying to sign using a DSC physical token
While trying to sign a PDF using a DSC (Digital Certificate) Physical token, the popup screen to capture PIN for the token does not allow more than 8 alphanumeric characters.
As you can see in the image uploaded, after 9 characters are entered the "OK" button is greyed out.
The DSC token manager provided by the Signature Authority typically allows the token PIN to be at least 12 characters.

Solving the error BER decoding with digital signature using a certificate on a smart card
I had problems with digitally signing documents in Acrobat Reader 2023.003 via a certificate on a smart card. Whereas in Acrobat Standard 2017 the digital signature worked correctly, in Acrobat Reader DC an error message popped up: Error in BER decoding, and the signature, which was visible in the document was not valid. The Adobe support recommended using a solution by re-creating the digital ID and/or Crypto folder (see https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-creation-signature-could-completed.html). But this did not solve the problem. By further internet search I found a discussion in the Adobe Community which recommended:
Go to Preferences of Adobe: Edit/Preferences/Security (Enhanced):

Tlačítko "Zobrazit podrobnosti" je posunuté
(If you need the bug report in english, text me and i will translate it for you.)

Unmodified annotations should not be reported as modified
For the attached file, Adobe Reader claims that the stamp annotation (Object 129) was modified after the second signature. However it wasn't, that object wasn't included in any further incremental save. IMHO this is a bug in Adobe Reader, apparently related to the fact that the stamp annotation does not contain the (optional) /P entry. (Adding the /P entry solves this). This was reported to the PDFBox team and on stackoverflow in question 74836898.

PDF signed using Adobe Reader (Free) is editable (Lock not working)
I could'n't find clear info anywhere or confirmation but I noticed that all documents signed with the FILL & SIGN feature of Adobe Reader (Free) cannot be locked and is editable using Adobe Acrobat Pro. the same document signed using Adobe Acrobat Pro will be locked automatically with no editing, changes to signature allowed. why is this obvious downside of using Adobe Reader (Free) not more publicised ? In fact, there is even a pop-up stating the signature will not be editable BUT that is clearly not true if signed with Adobe Reader (free)

There is no Windows lookup on certificate warehouses, and so you have to export and import the desire certificate to the adobe library, you permit importing multiple intermediate certificate with a p7b cert file but if you select multiple cert from Windows Cert Console and export them to a p7b file so you can import them all at once on Adobe Acrobat, it shows an error message "Error at analyze the selected file" next line "Error Code 25" and in the last line the path of the file, if you push details it just shows three layers of the same…
