2. Bug Report: Optional Content Groups affect color of other items

   While testing a PDF document with Optional Content Groups (aka "layers"), I noticed that sometimes changing the visibility of an OCG causes the colours of other items to change.

   The PDF specification explicitly states "Hiding a section of optional content shall not change the colour of objects that do not belong to the same optional content group.", so I believe this is a bug in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

   I am attaching the PDF file and a recording of the issue. Unfortunately the issue does not happen 100% of the time - I am not sure what triggers it, but resizing and maximising the window sometimes triggers it.

   OS: Windows 11

3. Bug Report: Suppressing upsell now suppresses tools

   As of Adobe Reader 24.x, the setting "bAcroSuppressUpsell" no longer suppresses the upsell button. It now suppresses all items in the tools pane.

6. Page up/down 1.0 pages

   You need a command/keystroke to move to the same page position but 1.0 pages up/down. So if I'm zoomed in to a region on page 33, let me see the same region of page 34. Not one screen down, not to the top of the next page, not anything else. Don't move me; just change the page. (I believe this is the same in Acrobat and Acrobat Reader.)

7. Remove all the garbage features.

   Remove all the junk features. Developers and product designers think they are doing good by constantly adding more junk. This is just a PDF reader. Once you make it so, then it's good enough, and you never need anything more. Now it's just bloatware, and doesn't even work. When I go to search for something, the box just sits for 5 minutes. Launch Reader, I get a bunch of garbage panes. Adobe - go look at Mac Preview for how a 'reader' should be.

   the download file is called:
   AcroRdrDC2400120615MUI.dmg

    Modify/ create Chrome and Edge browser extension(s) that allow/show clickable bookmarks and links for PDFs. Firefox works for PDFs like that to allow clickable bookmarks and links without an extension. Internet Explorer (before extinction) also handled bookmarks and links.

11. PDF Crash after clicking hyperlink

    I have discovered a critical bug that urgently needs to be fixed to improve usability of Adobe Reader.
    I have a PDF with a lot of hyperlinks to images. Whenever I open the PDF and click a hyperlink within first 3 seconds, it crashes. If I wait for the "Free 7 day trial Acrobat Pro" notification to appear on the bottom left, the hyperlinks execute as intended and open the images. I have attached a video demonstrating this bug.
    From what I understood is, if the PDF hasn't fully loaded yet, clicking on the hyperlink will crash the PDF.

13. Why would businesses adopt VDI?

    Virtual Desktop Infrastructure or VDI is a form of desktop virtualization in which desktop environments are hosted on a central server. This technology allows for several desktop images to run within a virtual machine. The images are then delivered to the end-user via a network. The endpoints could be devices like PCs, tablets, smartphones, or thin client terminals.

    Why would businesses adopt VDI?

    Centralized, simplified management: One of the biggest advantages is that everything is essentially managed in a central location. This means end-users are not required to hand over their devices and wait for updates to be installed. Instead, new versions of the OS or applications can simply be deployed to the central desktop image, which is in turn made available to all end-user devices.

    Accessibility: One of the key end-user benefits is that employees can access their virtual desktop images using devices like laptops, smartphones, and mobiles.     "Signing" and "Filling of form fields" are separate permissions. Yet, if "Signing" == "Not allowed," then data filled into form fields cannot be saved.

    One thing has nothing to do with the other. For example, the IRS has fill-in forms with no signatures requested. (https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs-search?search=1041) Form 1041 has "Signing" == "Allowed" and data can be entered into the form and saved. Form 1041 (Schedule D) has "Signing" == "Not allowed" and filled-in form data cannot be saved. Neither form uses any signature feature.

    Form fill-in and signing are two separate features (they have separate permissions). What is the point of not saving filled-in form data if signing is disabled? Please fix.

16. Poster print not working on Mac or Windows in latest version

    Poster print doesn't work in latest version of Adobe Reader - tries on both windows and mac

    On mac - Once you have deselected print as image - you can try and print as poster - BUT it only prints to 1 page - what ever you select in the options - you simply cannot print over multiple pages.

    On Windows - It will only allow you to print the 1st page of the poster print - you can not select or print any of the other pages.

    Can this please be fixed
    I am using latest version of Adobe on Mac OS and Windows.

17. Have to repair installation daily

    I'm having to repair the installation every day to use it, sometimes multiple times a day. Specifically for the e-signing function. Otherwise it only gets to the final step before sending and sits there loading until it says it can't connect to server. Is there a way to fix this on our end so our business is not losing time waiting for it to repair itself before it works?

18. Adobe Document Cloud for Microsoft Outlook - Acrobat

    I found a bug with disabling plugin for Outlook. I would like to disable "Adobe Document Cloud for Microsoft Outlook - Acrobat" via group policy by adding an option bAdobeSendPluginToggle to the registry according to the Adobe instructions:

19. Bug: Links to a rotated page fail to hit the right page

    With pdflatex we've created a document with a single rotated page. We've tried several PDF viewers, which work as expected, but Acrobat Reader (tested version 2024.001.20604 and some others) jumps to the wrong page when any of the hyperlinks are clicked on the TOC, the navigation bookmarks, or in the text.

    We've created a MWE that can be generated in overleaf (https://www.overleaf.com/read/yfwhpwjdcfvk#3d8e17). I attach also the PDF document showing the problem.

    Other PDF viewers tested, which work fine are: okular, evince, google PDF viewer, Edge PDF viewer, some Android and iPhone viewers, which jump fine to the expected page. Acrobat Reader jumps to one page after the desired one, but depending on the LaTeX code (using pdflscape, for example), it might jump to the weirdest places.

20. Adobe Acrobat Reader Not Updating Automatically (Error 130200)

    Using Adobe Acrobat Reader 64-bit on Windows 11 - 22631.3296. Ever since version 2023.008.20555 - automatic download and update within the program doesn't work. Receive Error 130200. Now need to download the MSP files manually.
