It's such a pain in the booty and it's very frustrating I'm trying to change from my school subscription to my personal account. it feels like ten minutes and it should be about 30 seconds. They should make it easier similar to Instagram Hold a button and tap. Hope you agree and vote. Bye

  3. Dear sir/madam,

I use a lot of PDF files for my job. However, the version I use is 2015.020.20039. Because in recent releases, the buttons "Fit to window width and enable scrolling", "Fit one full page to window" and "View file in read mode" have been turned into one button. I have to open this button on every time. This is an extremely difficult use. Please give us the option of these buttons as single buttons as before. Thank you so much.

  4. I am using the Adobe Reader Javascript API and trying to access the this.pageWindowRect variable. I've found from various forum posts that this has to be 'enabled' by accessing this.media first.

This works most of the time, but intermittently on certain computers, I find that both this.media and this.pageWindowRect are undefined.

It is difficult to reproduce this exactly: sometimes it seems to work fine, and sometimes they seem to stay undefined. I've tried delaying my code - in case things are taking a while to load - and running the code from a document-level script, a button, and the console.…

  5. Currently, click-hold and dragging with the middle mouse button results (hand symbol with four arrows) in the document scrolling at a (rather extreme) rate of speed that is determined how far away your cursor is from where you first clicked the button. The document will scroll continuously until you either move your cursor back closer to its initial location, or release the mouse button.
I would much prefer the behavior to be like what you get when you hold space and then click and drag with the left mouse button. I.e., you "drag" the document around with the mouse, and…

  6. Execute most recent AR DC (32-bit), click on any of the recently opened PDF files from list, file opens and content displays, then AR DC locks up, requiring use of Task Manager to kill it.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.
    1) Have you applied a latest patch of Win10-2004 after which you are facing this issue ?

    2) Could you confirm me the current version of Acrobat Reader DC that you have ?

    3) Could you please do Help → Repair Installation and see if it fixes the issue ?

    Thanks

  7. I color code my highlights and would really appreciate having an option to choose any color from a color wheel or hex code rather than having to choose from the 12 predetermined colors in the app. The iPad app is even more limited with only 7 colors to choose from.

  8. Consistent crashes on Adobe Reader DC on Windows 10, with the newest version installed. No crash report ever generated, instant process stop. Can be replicated when attempting to sign in or save as. Open recent document shows saved file and location within adobe, cannot be located when selected to open or found within computer files.

  9. When user tried to share pdf file from Adobe Reader(right hand upper corner) with share button via Outlook, it opens a new email. Until that email is sent, user is not able to access other Outlook windows open.

Adobe engineering Team has requested to raise a request for this so they can work with Microsoft to enhance this behavior.

  10. The idea is to be able to change the position of the navigation pane from
the left side to the the right side of the screen.

This would be useful when making presentations and using the thumbnail view to advance pages forward instead of scrolling which can sometimes be difficult to control.

  11. When you right-clicked, there is no UNDERLINE option but there is a strikethrough option. Adding an Underline option would be more productive for many users as well as appreciated.

  12. (i guess someone asked long time ago. but seems buried alive)
add "copy link location" to adobe reader DC, when right click over a link in a pdf.
why? this is a standard feature in most 2020 windows applicatoin. if adobe does not do it, i go somewhere else. adobe reader dc is not the only pdf reader in the world.

  13. I installed the latest version Reader DC on a Windows 7 64-bit pc, fater the old version freezed after some seconds. But the result is always the same, the new installation always freeze after few seconds.
I tryed a new installation from scratch, restarted many times, disinstalled DC some times, used the Acrobat Cleaner tool, tryed to correct the installation, but nothing worked, DC always freezes and I have to kill it.
The dump files below were collected at the same time (there were two AcroRd32.exe processes running at the same time, I do not know if this is normal).

  14. Need to allow users to open PDFs directly in/from SharePoint, and digitally sign/save directly back to SharePoint. This would mimic other office document behavior. Without this feature, we will be forced to abandon Adobe PDFs for digital signature requirements. Requiring users to download, sign, and upload (vice just sign) does not cut it.

  15. It is already extremely annoying to hide elements in Acrobat.

For reasons only known to your idiot design team, you persist in the view that the UI MUST BE RESET ON EVERY DOCUMENT LOAD.

I read > 30 PDFs in a DAY. FOR EVERY ONE, I have to hide elements of the UI (typically the left side). EVERY F*** PDF.

Today I find that hitting Ctrl-Home re-displays the full left bar.
    WHY.
WHO THINKS THIS IS A GREAT IDEA - Lets re-purpose a standard document navigation key into a UI state change.
PG UP to the top page does the…

  18. In this era of online/distance learning, never has it been so clear that Adobe Acrobat Reader is sorely inadequate for everyday use for students. The PDF format has long been used by teachers for worksheets, but ironically only to print them out. Now that everything is digital, most routine worksheets in PDF format are not easily editable or annotatable for students to fill them out and return them! This is the moment the PDF format has been waiting for its whole existence, and it is coming up short. In practice, even when PDFs set up as fillable forms, they are…

  19. Hi Team,

We are designing Dynamic Forms using adobe LiveCycle Designer which fetch the data from server - az18w1445 (where we have stored .xls files about users information).
To Fetch the data from the required server we used to access the site - http://ie3bvwitss347:8080/ReaderExtensions/Welcome?ap=1which is dependent on flash. Can't we access the adobe reader extension without flash. Do we have any aletrnative to fetch and automatically fill the the data into forms.

  20. It would be useful to have arrows like in web browsers to move smoothly in documents with cross-references and bookmarks.
I am a latex user and often in pdfs produced by latex for scientific documents there are hyperlinks for equations, figures and bibliographical references in text. It would be useful in reading, once you have checked the reference to be able to go back.
