   Adobe Reader version 2024.002.20895 (32bit). On some Windows 10 Pcs the "Check for Updates" function works as expected and finds updates if they are available.
   On others the "Check for Updates" function fails with the "Update failed" message, when run by an ordinary user (i.e when not Run as an Administrator).
   But when "Run as Administrator" that same "Check for Updates" function works normally and downloads and installs updates, if they are available.

   Steps to reproduce:
   1 - Open a PDF File
   2 - Command + P
   3 - Next to printer model select > Advanced
   4 - Try to change settings has no effect (for instance uncheck print as image)
   5 - Print

   Printer setting changes has no effect.
   It you try to print again and open advanced properties once more, the new setting was lost.

   In a recent update commenting was broken again in Acrobat Reader (but not in Acrobat Pro).

   Currently running Version 2024.003.20054 (Windows).

   Expected behaviour (worked like this in the past, and in Pro):

   • Selecting text then clicking Delete: Adds a delete/strikethrough comment (red line)
   • Selecting text then typing new text: Adds a replace comment (blue line)
   • Placing the cursor in text then typing: Adds an insert comment (blue triangle)

   Current behaviour:

   • Selecting text then clicking Delete: Works as intended
   • Selecting text then typing new text: [NOTHING HAPPENS]
   • Placing the cursor in text then typing: [NOTHING HAPPENS]

   Some history:
   This bug was first introduced with the "new" Acrobat interface, and a workaround was to switch to the old UI. It seemingly got fixed, but now the problem has returned, and changing to the old UI no longer works as a workaround. Rolling back to old versions of Acrobat is not a solution for us for security reasons, but at the same time, we NEED commenting to work efficiently (we have high volume and a lot of users who need this).

7. Comments no longer have distinct colors

   Previously, delete/strikethrough was shown as red, replace was shown as blue, highlight as yellow, etc.

   Now suddenly they are all the same red color so it becomes very hard to tell them apart.

   (In the attached screenshot you can see comment, highlight, replace, and strikethrough/delete are all the same color).

   This was likely a mistake/bug introduced in a recent update. It started happening in both Acrobat Pro and Reader, and makes commenting a lot more confusing.
   We are currently on version 2024.003.20054 (of both Reader and Pro).

   A workaround is to manually have the user change the color before adding comments, but having to teach the hundreds of people who will add comments to our PDFs how to manually change the colors themselves is not feasible. Please revert it so the different comment types have distinct colors.

   With digital signatures becoming more mainstream, people are becoming more aware of what a signature means legal wise.
   By ETSI standards the meaning of a signature can be defined by a signature policy and/or commitment type.
   Unfortunately these eare not shown in the signature panel if present.
   We woud also love to have an option for showing other properties of the signature as more and more information is embedded in it that could have legal impact.

    Stop the bookmarks opening automatically every time a PDF is opened. They have to be manually closed every time to provide more space to view the architectural drawing. Its very irritating and a very bad idea to have them opening every time as the default setting. They should be closed unless needed, not open and need closing every time.

    Adobe Acrobat Reader asks me why I would switch to the old interface, rejecting the new one. Simple. Old interface: Annoying sidebar always appears initially expanded, but does not obscure the document in any way; rather, the document is scaled down to fit screen appropriately.
