  1. PDF Thumbnails in PDF Portfolio : Portfolio/ View / Layout

    In Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Classic & Acrobat Pro 2017 the PDF icons on the left are quite large in Portfolio / View /Layout . It would be great if PDF Thumbnails could be enabled like in Windows explorer by checking the preference in General . I realise not all file thumbnails for all types of files could easily be created ( example Excel , Word )etc ..but we combine a lot of PDF secured files into a Portfolio & the thumbnail PDF view would really be a great feature in Portfolio/View / Layout

  2. Acrobat needs an append option... or at least print multiple docs to a Portfolio

    Acrobat needs an append option... or the ability to print multiple docs to a Portfolio.
    All of the competitors have an option to print multiple files and add to single document. Acrobat even allows you to append scans to exiting pdfs. Why is there no option that does not require you to save multiple pdfs and then combine them. Seems easy enough... but when you have users refusing to switch platforms because they email statements to customers all day, the added steps of saving and combining documents would literally add hours a day to their workflow, You are not going…

  3. .eml formats are not currently supported by Adobe Acrobat to be able to convert these files into a pdf format. Please support this format.

  4. PATH AND FILE NAME INSERT OPTION

    I would like to see a feature added to Acrobat that would allow Acrobat to stamp the path (location) and name of the document which was created. I am attaching an example of a document created with a different program in which the feature is highlighted..

    It would also be great if that stamp would adjust and change as the document is renamed, moved or received and saved by the receiving party.

  5. Converting Excel for Mac doc to PDF enabling clickable url links

    When I convert my Excel for Mac doc (with clickable url links) the links do not work in the resulting PDF. Please advise.

  6. How to show CSS gradient background from HTML to PDF using Acrobat?

    We want to create a PDF file from local HTML files.

    It can show gradient background if we save PDF by using printing function in browser.

    However, It doesn't works when created in Acrobat.

    We don't want to use printing function to create all PDF files, due to there are many pages waited to be converted.

    The gradient background are written in CSS.

    Could we have a solution?

  7. I'd like to be able to make a flip book (that turns the page like a magazine)

    Title says it really. It's simply that there a lot of 'make your own flip books' softwares out there, but they are not well designed and expensive, when this feels like it is a sensible add on to what one can already do with Adobe PDF pro. It's annoying to have to go elsewhere for pdf expertise, as I feel Adobe should be able to smash this themselves.

  8. When adding a PDF Portfolio to a file list (Combine Files) I get the following informational dialog box, "File [File name] is a PDF Portfo

    When adding a PDF Portfolio to a file list (Combine Files) I get the following informational dialog box,

    "File [File name] is a PDF Portfolio that contains multiple files. The files with the PDF Portfolio have been added to the file list." It requires that you click OK, before the files will be added and you can continue.

    I wish to disable this dialog box as I am archiving thousands of files a day.

  11. Combine Files errors encountered message options

    When Acrobat encounters an error while combining files, the following message is shown. The options are Return to the File List, and Open Combined File. If the user wants to open the combined file AND review the files which caused errors, they have to combine the files twice (which can take a long time depending on the number and type of files). Note that if many files were combined, not all of the files can be seen in the main window in the background (behind the error message window).   12. The AcrobatDC plugin for Internet Explorer, the select region function is useless. It displays a box around the region, does nothing with it

    Fix the IE plugin "Select" feature. It shows the red line box around a screen region, does not keep the region selected, and then proceeds to make a PDF of the ENTIRE web page, not the chosen region. And it makes the PDF in landscape orientation, with all the menus, footers, headers, and junk we don't need. There seems to be no way to fix this behavior in Acrobat DC.

  13. Follow links in documents similar to the way links in websites are followed and contents appended to document.

    I cannot vote for the hundreds of other suggestions that suggest this same thing!!! Adobe personnel have closed them too quickly. However, I would like to be able to create a PDF from a word document (or any other document type) and have linked documents (of all types) appended to the pdf the way Acrobat does for "Create a PDF from a website" options. This is not just a "nice to have" this is a MUST HAVE and if I find a competing product that already does this, I will buy it and cease my use of Acrobat Pro.

  15. Acrobat add-in for Office create pdf from part of document

    I would like to be able to create a pdf using only part of a document using the Acrobat add-in for Microsoft Office.

    It is important that the section of the document contain all the bookmarks relevant to that sections.

    Extracting pages from the full document leads to a pdf with no bookmarks.

    The only way I've found so far is to delete the unwanted pages and then to delete the unwant4ed bookamerks.

  16. Viewable layers or levels of content on single page

    We use text boxes or callout tool to "balloon" customer prints with several different colors representing the type of feature or dimension. Would like to be able to view the different colors by "groups" or "layers" in any combination. Current use of layers does not work as it imports each separate ballooned print over the other and are only visible by toggling between but not in combination with each other.     • Distribution of content updates - Ability to manage a portfolio centrally without trying to go through a content management system like Sharepoint.
    • Annotations – mainly the ability to carry over the comments and highlights each board member has done when a document in the central portfolio is updated.
