  1. In an Acrobat Pro DC PDF document, links to .xlsm and .xlsb spreadsheets won't open. Adobe needs to add those extensions to their Policies Registry keys and the problem will be solved! Please fix before next release! It's a super easy fix!

  3. Created a setting allows for the deletion of the recent files list when exiting Acrobat. The recent files list gives persons the ability to access files without having to go through security and can display private information depending on the naming convention used.

  6. Now when you download a file from the web and have Acrobat installed as the default handler, it automatically downloads the file on Windows to C:\Downloads, not to the actual configured downloads folder, which might be on another drive or in a different location. Acrobat should have a configuration which A) allows you to configure a default location, or B) Asks everytime, defaulting to the last, where to save the file.

The amount of time spent Saving-As then deleting the originally downloaded file is stupid.l Just let us put the file where we want it from the start.

  7. After the latest update to 11.0.20 of Acrobat XI, the user interface has changed and everything is huge. The print screen requires scrolling to find the rest of the settings and buttons. Worked just fine before I updated. Currently using Windows 10 on a Lenovo X1 Carbon. I've tried changing the scaling from 150% to 100% and it didn't do anything other than make everything but Adobe so small I couldn't read them. Extremely annoying and if I can figure out a way to undo the update, I will. See attached screen shots.

  8. When a link is present that points to a location within the open PDF, or another PDF, right-click should offer the option to Open Link in New Tab. We are all accustomed to doing this in our browsers and it would be a great addition to Acrobat, especially helpful when bouncing back and forth between pages. Thanks.

  9. As stated in the title, Acrobat is repeatedly seizing window focus and popping back on top of the other windows when it opens another file.

This even happens when running actions on an entire folder of pdfs.

I have been running a set of action sequences on a folder of about 400 files for the last few days.

My original intention was to start the sequence and then continue to work on other portions of the project while the pdf's were modified and saved.

Instead, acrobat grabs the mouse and keyboard back every time it opens the next file (about…

  10. Constant freezing, unresponsive, and crashes
Open document, freeze occurs after most actions such as: resize window, edit text, select text, comment, etc.
    OS: Windows 10 Pro
Powerful hardware should not be a limiting factor (attached jpg)
Adobe Acrobat Standard DC version: 2015.006.30482

    Checked for updates: none available
Tried Repair Installation: no change in performance

  11. Acrobat DC always opens on my second monitor even after selecting the open on main monitor in the preferences dialog box. I keep checking on the open on main screen only to find the open on this monitor option selected each time i take a look. it's kind of like i missed selecting a save settings option that doesn't exist.

  12. In Adobe reader, I select Page Display -> Two Page View on a large wide monitor. I then select Full Screen mode, and Reader forces me back to one page - after I've clearly indicated I want two. Why? This is an obvious user interface bug.

  13. There needs to be a "swipe" option or at least a centered option, maybe an interactive option, that allows for the switching of tabs not visible in the toolbar but are open in reader. I have 15 tabs open and if I'm on just about anywhere on the screen I have to precisely navigate to these tiny, poorly positioned, pointer arrows to get back to the previous tabs which are no longer displayed and hidden from view.

  14. Get rid of new version. You have added so much eye candy that simple tasks have become difficult. Fire your staff and live off the royalties of your old version. Your harrassed users will thank you.

  15. It would be helpful if the layout grid could be made transparent under Preferences>Units & Guides>Layout Grid. It's a very useful feature but occasionally it aligns with important elements like negative signs and hides them. Ideally the opacity would be an adjustable %, but a checkbox that toggles some set amount would work too.

  16. Make the giant splash screen close when documents close. Also make it default to a SMALLER size if I have resized it in a previous session. Stop making your software overbearing.

  17. it would be really handy to have a preview to trim line
meaning it blocks out the bleed.

the way it's available in InDesign -
so you can toggle back and forth between trim view and bleed view

  18. Acrobat DC (Creative Cloud)
    Version: 2019.008.20074
    Windows 7 64bit

This has occurred since last update.

    1. Click on file icon to open.
    2. Acrobat crashes immediately.

    3. Open Acrobat first

    4. File opens as expected.

    5. Close a tab within Acrobat

    6. 'Home' screen shows a frozen image of closed file.

    7. Click on 'Tools' tab - works as expected

    8. Click on 'Home' tab - shows a frozen image of 'Tools' screen.

    9. Unable to view any recent files via the home screen.

Repair / reinstall has not cured this glitch!

  19. The DC version is considerably more difficult to use and more complex. Continue supporting 11.x and to make it available as well. We all work different ways and some don't need or want the complexity you've included in DC.

  20. With the update, now there's another toolbar off to the right, taking up valuable space. Someone told you we're using this software to review and mark up documents, right? I want as much room as possible to go to the document so I don't have to be constantly scrolling and zooming in and out.
