Add .xlsm and .xlsb extenstions to your Policies registries
In an Acrobat Pro DC PDF document, links to .xlsm and .xlsb spreadsheets won't open. Adobe needs to add those extensions to their Policies Registry keys and the problem will be solved! Please fix before next release! It's a super easy fix!
Since we havent got much users asking for the same, we are closing this thread for now.
We’ll revisit if we hear back this again
Thanks

How many replies are you expecting before this gets modified? Surely standard Microsoft file types should all be allowed (by all means with a warning if you need to cover yourselves...)

Seems like there are plenty of users with the same issue. Just fix it. Add the extensions to the registries. I set my Adobe not to update so I don't lose them every time. And when I do update, I have to have our IT department do the fix.

Not only is it irritating that we can't open xlsm or xlsb files as attachments in Acrobat, we can't even save them outside of the file to open separately. Same security issue.

I had our I.T. department go into the key registries and they added the extentions themselves. Problem is, every time the program updates, you have to do it again. I don't know why Adobe just won't add the extensions in there - it would be so simple. ???????

Can this be opened back up? I am running into this problem more often and needs to be addressed soon. This may lead to me losing a large bit of business.
Thanks.
