  1. I work with large-format pages and need to see information that is on the top left corner of the page AND a tiny text detail. When I use find, intending to use the loupe tool to check the detail and compare to the top corner, the halo effect option zooms in. Then I have to reset the zoom (and often, my page position too, because un-zooming resets the page on the screen and I can't see the corner I need.)

The zoom should either be only active when you're NOT already using a zoom tool (like loupe or marquee) or…

  2. Acrobat incorrectly assesses PDF as fax/scan before comparing. Text is editable in both PDFs. Report does not show difference in text.

  3. When I save a file in pdf, sometimes I get an error insufficient data to display. I don't know why this is. I send it on and it works fine for them. I need to be able to review before sending on.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Kindly share with us some specific pdf files for which you are facing this issue.

  4. When opening a 300 DPI Tiff with Jpeg compression with Adobe Acrobat DC it immediately gets downsampled to 96 DPI. This is fine if you want smaller file sizes, but i want to at least have the option to retain (and subsequently save) the original resolution as a PDF

When contacting support I was told that this was expected behaviour for the product, but for me this is a bug. The zoomed in image clearly shows the difference in detail.

  5. We will be receiving hundreds to thousands of pdf reports daily. Each report will have anywhere from 1 page to 250,000 pages, and we need to quickly identify the total page count for each report.

Originally we thought we might have to open each report and read the page number on the last page. However, we realized that the page number may not always be accurate.

We know that when you manually open a PDF, it gives you the adobe page count on the top left. So, we’d like to know how we can automate and use that instead.

  6. There also needs to be a way to save customize Quick Tools settings. If I rest the toolbars, I then have to manually set up quick tools again when I want to go back to a certain arrangment. They should work like workspaces do in the other Adobe programs.

  7. I usually have to work with up to 20 PDF files at the same time that are located in different folders. Very often I need to search among them for some term, reference or key word.

  8. This has been described before but I'm hoping there is still work being done towards updates. As per this thread https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/18440917-acrobat-reader-should-support-dynamic-dpi-scaling#{toggle_previous_statuses}

Windows 10 Pro, XPS 13 hi res laptop.

My laptop screen is 3200 x1800, external monitors are 1920x1080. The program looks normal on my external monitors but doesn't adjust when I drag it to my laptop - icons and menus Teeny Tiny and unreadable. Other programs by most other vendors will detect the screen resolution and adjust.

Sounds like a scaling fix has been implemented for Acrobat DC Continuous, Acrobat 2017, Acrobat Reader DC Continuous, and Acrobat Reader 2017.

  10. When I look at multi-page PDF file, especially if it is a large page size, Reader gets hopelessly lost recalculating how to scroll. If you zoom in, the page scrollers stay locked at the pre-zoomed size, so that if you are moving around you will move the next page instead of being able to see all of the zoomed in view. It's also way too easy to slip to the next page when scrolling around a view, regardless of zoom level. The primary action of hand tool mouse movements should be to move the view around, not flip pages.

  11. I do NOT like the format for the on-line user guide. I much prefer the layout and format for the previous reference guides that were available for every application.
When studying for Ace exams, the reference guides were ideal.
PLEASE don't phase them out. I'd sooner see the on-line guide taken away than the reference manual.

  12. When in comparison mode, I am making sticky notes on the newer version. You cannot save that newer version as a separate document, so it cannot be viewed by others with my notes intact, and cannot be used in next version comparison mode to make sure all changes were fixed. A major flaw.

    Thanks for contacting us.
There are situations when an user prefers to have sound notification.
For your case, the best way to handle is to switch off the speaker of your computer.
