Re-enable keyboard functionality in the new Acrobat interface
I am a professional proofreader. My clients expect me to use the built-in annotation and commenting tools, and in the 2023 Acrobat interface I’ve come across several points of friction that literally double the amount of time it takes me to implement my markup.
- I can no longer apply a tool after selecting text
In the old Acrobat, I could select text first and then look for the tool I wanted to apply to the selection. In the 2023 Acrobat, many tools are unavailable to me after I’ve already selected text. For example, if I haven’t activated the replace selected…

Is it worth getting to know each other over the Internet?
The Internet offers singles a wide range of opportunities to find a partner, whether for a short flirtation or for a long, serious relationship. But in practice our expectations are not always met. What do you think about this?

Empty sticky notes keep disappearing when they should not
Update 2022.003.20310 introduced the following change: "Acrobat detects a blank sticky note added and removes it."
There should at minimum be a setting to disable this new behavior.
With this update, sticky notes disappear if nothing is written on them immediately after their creation before clicking somewhere else. This is less intuitive and less flexible than the previous behavior. Simple actions like "add sticky note"-->"copy text to paste into the sticky note" are now made impossible because the sticky note disappears as you copy the text.

Clear Formatting in Add note to replace text comment adds a new line
If you use "Clear Formatting" on the comment content after adding a comment with the "Add note to replace text" tool, a new line / return is added at the end of the comment. This completely undercuts our workflow which relies on removing formatting information from comments we are using for review purposes.
Details:
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit (Build 19042)
System language: German
Software: Adobe Reader DC 2022.001.20169, Adobe Acrobat DCSteps to reproduce
- Open a PDF file
- Add a comment with "Add note to replace Text"
- Double click comment content
- Select all comment content, chose Text Style…

Comments missing on opening
Steps to reproduce the issue :
Happens in certain documents, not sure why.Environment:
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 22.001.20169Expected result
If the document has 33 comments, I expect to see them all on opening, in the comments panel.Observed result
On opening, only a fraction of comments is listed. E.g.: 3 comments (although the document has 33 comments instead). If I scroll down through all pages, the missing comments gradually appear, and the number of comments (on top of the comments panel) gets updated accordingly, while scrolling down.
The comments' status doesn't seem to make a difference (whether they…

Allow users to change colour of search highlighter
When I use Adobe the CTRL F search function of Adobe Acrobat DC, I often find it hard to see where on the page the item I'm searching for is being highlighted. The highlighter colour that Adobe uses is a light grey/blue and it simply doesn't stand out enough. Very often, I'm searching for a single character and the documents I'm proofreading such as reports and brochures often have a coloured background, making it even harder to spot that pesky highlighter! It seems so simple to me that there should be a way for users to opt for a bright…

Allow selection of multiple comment elements by dragging with the mouse
Similar to Explorer, allow dragging an area as a selection box for comment elements. Selecting multiple elements is only possible by holding CTRL and left clicking, which can get time consuming if you have a bigger number of comments on your documents.

Colour-coding in the comments panel
Acrobat Reader allows to highlight text and then enter comments to the highlighted text into the separate panel on the right of the text. I use this feature a lot, when reviewing papers. It would be very handy for me if the comments in the right panel were somehow marked with the same colour as the highlighting in the text. Such feature would allow me easily navigate between the comments later, when making a summary: e.g. first selecting green comments, then red comments etc.
