  1. The copy paste function doesn't work with words that contain letters with accents on my Mac running Big Sur. Letters with accents paste as a space. It doesn't matter where I paste the text. The result is the same. This is a real problem for people using languages with a lot of accents. I'm able to open the same PDF using Preview and copy/paste the same text and see all the letters.

I opened another PDF that was created years ago with accented letters. The copy/paste worked in my browser and in Preview. I had the same problem when copying/pasting…

  2. Let me repeat honestly because I am exasperated by Adobe's incompetence:
After decades, when Acrobat Reader starts, it still has not figured out how to reopen pdf files at the right page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you justify this BIG problem after so many years of having created Adobe Reader?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us for your query.
This feature is already available in Acrobat Reader. Here is how you can turn that on.

    1) Go to Edit → Preferences → “Documents” Tab
    2) Select the checkbox for “Restore last view settings when reopening documents”

This preference will make sure that your Acrobat reader remembers the last view of the pdf when it was closed and reopened.

    Hope it helps ?

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  3. I use acrobat for work and use it mostly for map prints I have to add notes and add lines. So I use the connected line tools from the comment section to draw the lines from certain points on the map print but I don't really like it because it sometimes makes it hard to get to one point to the next when I have the map print zoomed in . I can't scroll to get to the next point when using the connected lines tool. It's frustrating, so I would like there to be a pen tool like in…

  4. Adobe should have a feature to assign different passwords to different PDF file in one go.

Also a feature to send / share this multiple files to their individual recipient in one go.

  6. ... and I am not referring to the distinction between hand and select tool. I am referring to another problem:

I have set my own cursor scheme for Windows (Lefty Scheme) in Windows system settings. Every application accepts that but Adobe Reader. Whenever using the reader the mouse changes from a white arrow pointing to the upper right corner (lefty scheme) to a black arrow pointing to the upper left corner.

How can I change this? I want the Reader to use the Windows System setting.

    I am using Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit, Version 1709, OS Buils 16299.431 and…

  9. Today I learned that when a PDF's text includes URLs that are -not- marked up as hyperlinks, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Apple Preview, and Google Chrome's built-in PDF renderer all attempt to convert the URLs to clickable hyperlinks for the reader's convenience.

However, Adobe Acrobat Reader does a noticeably worse job than the other software. Specifically: if the URL is followed by punctuation, Acrobat includes the punctuation in the target of the hyperlink, resulting in a broken link. Apple Preview and Google Chrome handle punctuation correctly.

You can see this behavior by opening the attached PDF in Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, and…

    Ketti Maria

  11. Dear leader, hello, I reported 17 stack exhaustion vulnerabilities to Adobe's security department through hackerone. This type of vulnerabilities have always been given cve numbers and thank you(e.g. CVE-2020-3753/CVE-2020-3756/CVE-2020-9611/CVE-2020-9702/CVE-2020-9703/CVE-2017-16419), but your security department notified me that these 17 bugs that I reported will not be given cve numbers and acknowledgements, I think it is unfair to me. And these 16 vulnerabilities did have an impact on your products, I also made contributions, I deserve the cve number and acknowledgements. Thanks.

  12. With the introduction of virtual desktops in Windows 10, some users such as myself have multiple projects going on simultaneously. The virtual desktop feature greatly aids compartmentalization in this aspect.

Let us say I am working in a virtual desktop called vd3 for instance, and I do not currently have an instance of Acrobat running on vd3. Now I open a PDF file and there is already an instance of Acrobat running on a different virtual desktop, say vd1. Now, instead of opening a new instance of Acrobat in vd3, Windows forces a switch to vd1 and opens my PDF…

  13. When creating a new document, i.e. printing to Adobe or converting a document I'm getting the correct number of pages, however blank/grey pages. Can see older/existing documents.
    Windows 10 and Adobe DC.
If you have seen this and fixed this, please reply.

  17. Acrobat Reader DC should have a setting similar to Chrome based browsers to "Remember where I left off". Example - I have have 5 tabs for 5 different PDFs I'm reviewing, it would be extremely helpful to be able to shut down the app and have it reopen all 5 tabs again when reopening the app

  18. Adobe Reader suffering from delays when printing PDF files, switched reader to Edge or Foxit same files print without any issue. Repair install performed along w/ complete removal + reinstall of Reader but issues continued. End users reported problem did not appear until recently, possibly a bug with the latest build.

  19. Using Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF DC (21.001.20138) on Windows 10 to open the attached PDFs crashes. We create PDFs ourselves with several hundreds of images and embedding them using FlatDecode to reduce the size of the PDFs however very few images seem not to work in Adobe Acrobat PDF viewer ONLY. Opening the PDFs in Google Chrome as an example works.

  20. This is not an idea. It is a bug.
BUG: http should read HTTPS 2021-07-26

Dear Adobe Acrobat DC Installation Team,
Your product installs with http as the WEB LINK in the Registry. It should be https. The industry has moved on to secure web sites, as have you. However, your installation still references the old http.

Please pass this message to your product installation team.
Kindly update your Windows Installation to properly reference https as the WEB LINK
    Thx, Raphael
