   You’ve taken a tool that was built for professionals and turned it into something that feels like it’s optimized for the occasional PDF doodler.

   We don't need more icons. We don't need bigger buttons. We need speed and control — and right now, the only way to get that is to use outdated software or switch to a competitor.

   If the new UI must exist, at the very least:

   • Let users set the default commenting behavior back to the legacy style for real (no more "Disable New Reader" that glitches a lot and keeps us in fear of not having it someday)

   • Or add an “Editor Mode” or “Classic Commenting” toggle that restores efficient workflows

   Please don’t mistake silence for satisfaction. There are hundreds of professionals quietly mourning the old Acrobat — or actively switching to other tools because they simply can’t keep up with the friction this UI has introduced.

   We want to keep using your software. But right now, it feels like you’ve abandoned the people who know how to use it best.

    Summary: The vertical scrollbar indicator no longer appears in any PDF, even when “Enable Scrolling” is turned on and Windows 11 is set to “Always Show Scrollbars.”

    I'm using Acrobat Reader version 2025.001.20531 on Windows 11. Since updating, the scrollbar is missing in all PDFs, even in "Enable Scrolling" mode with 100% zoom and light theme. This issue breaks usability:

    I cannot quickly drag to navigate.

    I cannot tell where I am in the document while quick scrolling.

    The middle mouse button allows fast scrolling, but with no scrollbar, I lose orientation.

    “Touch Mode” is not available in this version, so I cannot disable that.

    This behavior is inconsistent with prior versions, which had a working scrollbar.

    System Settings Confirmed:

    Windows 11 Accessibility > Visual Effects > “Always show scrollbars” is ON

    Acrobat is restarted and running in default UI settings

    The issue persists across all PDFs

    Adobe Acrobat Reader DC free version needs to remove all of the features that require an upgrade to a paid version. It's maddening to try to navigate your UI with an overwhelming number of features pitching you an upgrade. If I wanted to upgrade, I would. Your toolbars on the left and right crowd out the document and make it almost impossible to see a full page on half of a 15.6" laptop screen. Please, please, please stop pushing products on those of us who just need your free version.

12. Pop-Ups Every Time It Starts

    Every time I start Adobe to read a document there is a pop-up showing some feature I don't need or want. It is INTENSELY annoying. If I want to learn about new features, provide me a place to do so but don't make the software pop-up something irrelevant when I need to get work done.

    came here because filename that appears in the tab in Adobe Acrobat 32-bit is different from actual filename, and online says maybe metadata, and unable to find anyuthing about that issue for others or a fix, and during that time trying to submit a bug it calls it ideas and wants me to give up on reporting a bug - takes away bug reporting options as soon as i give my 'bug ' a title - so try to submit feedback through link that says give feedback through acrobat dc but it just takes you back to searching irrelevant 'ideas' and other unrelated bugs that happen to have a singular word in common (not helpful when using 'adobe' on an adobe site, btw). overall ridiculous and made me cry that adobe can't just support thousands of workers who know these things, and the systems needed to empower people to provide that service to each other. this is such an obvious tactic to avoid work and enslave automations to do subpar work, possibly even negative work.

14. Button "Save as"

    When opening a PDF in Adobe Reader and immediately clicking on File > Save As, the option is greyed out. Only after clicking on another menu item and returning to File does the Save As option become available. This behavior is consistent and reproducible. It appears to be a UI initialization issue.

15. Bug Report Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2025.001.20435 64 bit Windows 11

    I have created a PDF document by exporting it from a DOCX file. The document contains 23 links but only one of them works. Hovering over each of the 23 links produces a pop-up that displays the link however, clicking on the link produces no result (except for one of the links). If I open the document in a web browser, the links work as expected.

17. Bookmarks Don't Scroll with Mouse Wheel

    In the Bookmarks pane, the mouse wheel does not scroll like it should (and used to). Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines are affected, with both Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

18. BUG - URL Clicking Not Working

    The "Create Links from URL" doesn't seem to be working properly in the latest version of Acrobat Reader x64 (20474). Windows 11 x64
    Text URLs are read correctly when you hover over them, but you cannot click on them any longer to launch the URL in a browser. If you copy and paste the URL, the end few characters of the URL is missing when pasted.

20. Subject: Why the **** is there a shortcut that explodes all tabs into windows but no way to put them back?

    Dear Adobe,

    You've managed to create something truly unique: a series of hidden shortcuts (Ctrl+Shift+L/K/J) that blow every single tab into a separate window like a Michael Bay movie — but you forgot to include any way whatsoever to put them back into one window. No “Merge all windows,” no “Revert to tab view,” not even a humble “Are you sure you want to scatter your documents across the screen like confetti?” prompt.

    This isn’t a feature — it’s a trap. One accidental key combo and the user spends the next coffee break dragging PDFs from one window to another like some kind of interface serf from 2004.

    You’ve built a beautiful detonation button but forgot the off switch. All we’re asking for is something as basic as:

    “Merge all open windows into one tabbed Adobe Reader window”

    Or even just “Restore previous view”

    Right now, this is not usability — this is a crime against interface sanity.
