  2. If we don't know meaning of the word while reading in a document then there must be search by web option along with the copy tab or you can simply add Dictionary into Adobe so that it will become more user friendly and more helpful to the person who is in need to search that meaning.

  3. Please make an Always Show Comments Bar option. I work with the stamp, shape and text box tools on many PDFs daily. I have to open the comments toolbar for each one of them. While it's a small thing to do on one PDF, it gets old fast when it must be done for each of many PDFs every day.

  5. When double clicking a file in Windows Explorer where the path is longer than 260 characters does not work as default. But I have been able to create a workaround that enable this.

If I type the following in cmd.exe:
AcroRd32.exe "C:\Very long path\file.pdf" then that will fail.

If I enable "Enable Win32 long paths" in Group Policy and try the same command, then it works. This means that long paths are supported when it is enabled in Windows.

    I created a bat-file like this:
    set str=%1
    set str=%str:\?=%
    AcroRd32.exe %str%

This will remove \?\ from the first argument and…

    1. Brief title:
Jump to specific page in pdf document via URL (browser extensions)

    2. Description of desired feature:
When doing research for university, I often open many tabs at once. Sometimes books in pdf document form from my local file system. When closing google chrome and reopening on the other day, the document opens up at the first page. It would be nice if a) the document keeps its position when closing the browser and reopening, or b) via an #[pagenumber] at the end of the URI in the browser I can navigate to specific pages, especially on browser reopening -…

  7. Hello,

It would be nice to have the hand tool navigation on touchscreens include options for continuous pinch zoom (at the time of writing, the app zooms in steps) and momentum scrolling.

These features already work using a MacBook touchpad (for example).

    Kind regards.

  8. I need to see 2 full pages (A4) up on full screen and still be able to do commenting. Standard 16:9 screen has enough space for that. Just allow to move all menus and panes to either left or right side of the screen.

  9. When the default Highlight text tool (marker icon) is applied on document with inconsistent text (either poorly generated text scattered across page, math formulae etc.) the highlighted area does not look good or even does not make sense. Of course, I can manually click&switch to Drawing tool (pencil icon) and mark that area by hand but it can be set to other color, thickness, and opacity. I wish I could switch between these tools using ALT, CTRL of SHIFT keys for rapid commenting (while keeping the same color, thickness and opacity - ust like if the Highlight text tool is…

  10. please add and allow the cursor to change. I am visually impaired and have enlarged Window mouse pointer. When mouse pointer gets into the Reader, it "disappeared" and was so small and hard to follow!

  12. First of all I want to thank all of you guys you are doing a great job.

second, I know that we can attach a jpg file ,but you will have to leave the reader and open it and when you send it to others it won't open and I know that we can edit pdf to add images ,but sometimes there is no enough space in the page and its so hard to readjust the pdf so it looks normal again, so if we could to comment with a sticky note but we can add in that sticky note…

  13. I work with many files in Acrobat Reader, like 5 files, the same files for days together. I would love to have an option where I can make Acrobat remember the files that I opened in the last session and restore the same with a single click (like that we get "Restore" when the program crashes and we open in just after that. This is simple but saves a lot of time from user end.

  14. I have had issues for several months with the thumbnails on PDF icons only. They are sometimes transparent, solid black, or have the PDF icon only. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. I have "enable PDF thumbnails in Windows Explorer" selected. Adobe Acrobat DC Reader is my default program with version 2021.001.20135. I have tried many things over a while, as this really was bugging me. Tonight I installed "Fixes for 64-bit Adobe Reader preview handler and thumbnails" from:
    https://www.pretentiousname.com/adobe_pdf_x64_fix/index.html#thank

I figured I had nothing to lose and surprisingly it fixed the issue, especially as it hasn't been updated…

  15. When you select and open a list of pdfs, the tabs are currently opened in a seemingly random order. It would be very helpful if they opened in list order. I either have to open each file one at a time, or spend ages re-ordering tabs. It's frustrating, and impacts my work every day (because I need to open many pdfs at once, in order).

  17. Currently, click-hold and dragging with the middle mouse button results (hand symbol with four arrows) in the document scrolling at a (rather extreme) rate of speed that is determined how far away your cursor is from where you first clicked the button. The document will scroll continuously until you either move your cursor back closer to its initial location, or release the mouse button.
I would much prefer the behavior to be like what you get when you hold space and then click and drag with the left mouse button. I.e., you "drag" the document around with the mouse, and…

  18. Using Reader DC 2021.001.20145 on Windows 10 (20H2) in Desktop mode (tablet mode off).

When accessing system menu (restore, move, size, minimize, maximize, close) by clicking icon in upper left of window, the menu items work fine. But when accessing the same menu from the taskbar (hover, wait for popup, right-click on pop-up), the functions are ignored (minimize, move, size), act differently (close), or act strangely (maximize).

  19. It is very inconvenient and time consuming to make multiple clicks in order to zoom in or out the document. In the older versions they were separate and easily accessible. Drop down menu style is really exhausting and time consuming for these kind of basic operations. Please separate the zoom buttons !
