  1. Acrobat Reader DC changes the mouse pointer into its own scheme. Not talking about the specific tools, just the standard mouse when hovering over the Acrobat window.
I don't have the best vision, so I have my Windows mouse pointer set to be very visible, or I will lose track of it on the screen. But when using Acrobat, I lose track of the pointer, because Acrobat INSISTS that I don't get to use my custom pointer, but rather use the virtually invisible Acrobat default.
Why would Acrobat need to change the pointer? I get it for specific tools, like…

  2. After opening Acrobat Reader DC (in a windowed mode, not in tabbed), it, for some mysterious reason, switches off the Windows 10 Explorer setting for windows to cast shadows. It results in focused folder windows becoming visually borderless, making it very difficult to work with them.
The problem was described here for Acrobat DC:
    https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/38822896-bug-shadows-disappear-on-windows-10-explorer-wind
but it fully (and even more irritably) applies to Acrobat Reader DC, too.

It seems that for some reason, Acrobat Reader changes (switches off) each time the inherent Windows setting which can be found in System > Visual Effects tab > Show shadows under windows…

  3. When faxing a 2 page pdf.
When "Print" > select printer "sharp mx-m266n fax", it shows correct at abode preview. But at the preview of the fax driver, both page shows the content of page 1. And the receiver of the fax receives 2 copies of page1.

Tested normal on Chrome and PDF Architect 7. However, also failed on some other PDF readers.

    Please advise.

  5. When filling in boxes on a pdf, ctrl+del and ctrl+backspace do the same thing. Ctrl+backspace should delete the previous word, but it deletes the next word instead. In other places, ctrl+backspace functions properly.

  7. Do you know it often takes three clicks to get a sideways facing document to align vertically using rotate clockwise? Please make all our lives easier, by adding an option to rotate counterclockwise as well.

  8. SUGGESTION
With the current version (2020.006.20034), these can be hidden but for the current session only. Put an option in settings to hide these interface elements globally.

    WHY THE FEATURE IS NEEDED
To maximize vertical screen real-estate; as most of the devices these days are shipping with widescreen displays.

  9. I frequently have to sign timesheets that have been scanned on to email. (i.e Flat form without autofull fields) Adding my signature is easy, but I have to type the date out as text. Having an extra button that allows the date to be added, without having to type it would be fantastic.

  10. Under a Windows 10 environment, when navigating a folder with the Preview Pane enabled, the time for the preview pane to populate is greatly increased. Under Windows 7, the preview pane was immediate and crisp. Windows 10, however, the preview pane takes (literally) over a full second to populate, during which time you also cannot click or down arrow to the next file until it displays. I've duplicated this issue on multiple PC's. The thumbnails show immediately, but the preview pane seems to have to actually load each file--every time. Even bouncing back and forth between two files takes over…

  11. Verion 20.006.20034.39303

When copying from a PDF document the text gets cut off after the SECOND letter 't' when trying to paste.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1) Open the PDF document attached to this
    2) Go to the first page of PDF
    3) Highlight the sentence "If the input parameter is a timestamp (without time zone) it applies the offset of the time zone you specify and returns a timestamp with the time zone."
    4) Paste into a text editor

    Expected Results

    All the text is copy/pasted

    Observed Results:

    Only the following is pasted:

"If the input parameter is a"

  12. Hi Adobe,

On Microsoft Windows 10, Acrobat Reader DC 2020.006.20034 incorrectly changes ∊ (unicode U+220A) to ε (U+03B5) when copied from a PDF File and pasted into another program.

    I get this:
    'THIS NOUN' ε 'THAT WORD'

    But, the expected result is:

    'THIS NOUN' ∊ 'THAT WORD'

    Thanks

  13. If using a PC with NVidia graphic cards, hardware acceleration is automatically deactivated if protected mode on startup is active. This slows down 3D PDFs significantly.

Deactivating Protected Mode on Startup allows for hardware acceleration again.

  14. Recently we have noticed certificate revocation checking failures with the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC.

In the Department of Defense, the OCSP URLs in the DOD PKI are "http://ocsp.disa.mil". These servers work. But they do not respond on the SSL-enabled port (https). But when we try to verify signatures with Acrobat DC, we get connection failures. Network tracing has revealed that even though the URLs in the certificate specify http, Adobe Reader is trying to connect to the https port, and this gets timeouts.

    Environment: MacOS X
Steps to reproduce: Get a certificate that has an OCSP URL…

  15. The DDEEXEC value is not being updated after the Adobe Reader DC update to version 2020.006.2034.

The value remained at AcroViewR19 and needs to be AcroViewR20

  16. I need for the service you have provided me for many years to be fixed immediately. I need to be able to send multiple pdf files and pictures at the same time in one link. Please email me as soon as this feature is available again. In the meantime I will be looking at other software providers to fill my needs.

    Sincerely,
    Susan Hatfield

  18. I want to create a window-in-window which will hold the next image in pdf. This way, if a reader is reading a book or a journal with diagrams, he/she will not have to switch pages just to see the diagram.

  19. Since using Adobe Reader DC for PC, the last few updates have only increased the number of clicks required to do basic tasks. When saving a document, with either the CTRL + S key press or selecting Save from the file tree, there doesn't seem to be any necessity to have the window attached pop up. It's a similar feature to Office programs now, and really only makes the process take longer. Clicking on Choose a Different Folder just brings up the same save options we had in the past. This just creates more steps and wastes time.

  20. The support of the reading function in Acrobat Reader (Mac OS) has been broken for a long time. It works only once (highlight text, request the system to read, works fine. Choose another text paragraph and retry → fails). This is persistent for years now. I'd be very happy if this could be fixed.
