Stuck in QuickBooks Desktop Update Loop – Need Help!
I’m dealing with an annoying problem in QuickBooks Desktop — it’s stuck in an update loop. Every time I open the program, it prompts me to install an update. I go through the process, it says the update is complete, but as soon as I restart QuickBooks, the same update prompt appears again.
I’ve tried several things:
Running QuickBooks as admin
Repairing the installation via Control Panel
Deleting the dat and ini files from the update folder
Ensuring Windows is fully updated
Still no luck. I’m on QuickBooks Desktop 2022 (Pro Edition), running Windows 11. I’m wondering if this is a known bug or if there’s a deeper issue with the update files or registry.
If anyone has found a permanent solution or a patch that resolves this, please share. It’s really disrupting my workflow.
