Feature Request: Multi‑Stage / Progressive Endorsement Workflow in Adobe Sign

Hi Adobe Acrobat Sign Team,
I’m writing to formally request an enhancement to Adobe Sign’s workflow capabilities, as the current limitations are creating significant friction in real‑world enterprise use cases.

In large programs (particularly government and regulated environments), it is common to require progressive endorsement and approval of the same document, where:

Initial endorsements are captured (e.g. project or executive endorsement), and
The same document, with visible endorsement signatures, is then routed to downstream managers or functional leads for approval.

At present, Adobe Sign effectively prevents this pattern once signatures are applied, as signed agreements become immutable and cannot be reused, extended, or re‑routed for further signers. This forces teams to split endorsement and approval across multiple agreements or attach “certified copies” as references, which is cumbersome, confusing for stakeholders, and misaligned with how approval workflows actually operate.

Other tools (and even non‑cryptographic workflows in Microsoft 365) support sequential, visible approval flows far more intuitively. The lack of a comparable capability in Adobe Sign makes it unnecessarily difficult to manage multi‑stage approvals for documents such as training plans, governance artefacts, project baselines, and policies.

Specifically, I’m requesting consideration of a feature that allows:

Defined phased or progressive signing, where all signers see prior signatures, and
The agreement remains routable across approval stages without breaking audit integrity.

This limitation is causing avoidable rework and frustration for users who otherwise rely on Adobe Sign as an enterprise solution. I strongly encourage Adobe to review this gap, as it impacts common, legitimate business scenarios.

I’d appreciate confirmation that this feedback is logged for product review, and whether there are any plans on the roadmap to address progressive multi‑stage endorsement workflows.
