File opening bug introduced in the version 21.005.20048.
Previously when i had fullscreen view on (ctrl+L) and would then open a new document from second monitor while the other was still on fullscreen view, it would open the new document in fullscreen as well. Ever since the latest update when opening a new document the program exits fullscreen view no matter what kind of settings i have on.
Steps to reproduce
- open pdf file
- go to fullscreen view with CTRL+L
- open a new pdf
Expectation: new document to be opened in fullscreen
Observed resul: program exits full screen when openin a new documentOS: Windows
1 voteHello,
Sorry for the issue that you are facing here.
However, this Change has been done explicitly with this release update. This is done because previously there was a bug(ADC-4100538) that on opening the 2nd PDF when a pdf is already launched in Full screen View, The Top Toolbar, The Left hand navigation pane and the Right hand taskpane used to appear clipped which is undesired behavior.
As a part of Fixing this bug, we now switch out the view from Full screen view if User switches to any existing PDF Tab or Launches another PDF.
Please let me know if you have any further concerns in this ?
Thanks
Ayush Jain

Password requiring 6 characters
Requiring 6 characters on a password is unnecessary and hurts the user-friendly nature of the program. This decision is asinine.

File Name Does Not Appear on Adobe Reader Tabs
When I open different PDF files, the file names does not appear in the Adobe Reader tabs (as tooltip)! A simple example: if I have two copies of a tax form, one for me and one for my wife (with different file names), when I opened them in Adobe, the name appears the same and it shows the type of form only (form name only and not the file name) for both of them. When working with some files (e.g. I am opening some different standards to read at the same time), it is hard to find the one you…

Error message
After using "Fill & Sign" I get this error message. (See the attached picture.) This error is caused by only one PDF document which is not possible to upload there due to copyright restrictions. (It is a drawing for production.)

Arrow Key Scrolling Incrementation Consistency
So I have noticed that the arrow key scrolling when using the hand tool has somewhat inconsistent increment sizes. If I press the up or down arrow key once the distance scrolled is about half a line. If I hold down an arrow key to begin the fast scrolling, then let go and continue pressing the arrow keys rapidly, the increment is more like a line and a half.
I find this inconsistency extremely annoying, especially since the fast scrolling is redundant because of the page jumping that is achievable with the left and right arrow keys, and that the…

Upto spelled incorrectly on Toner saved message
In Adobe Reader DC version 2021.001.20145 on Windows 10 a message box pops up about percentage of Toner saved. "Upto 15% of Toner has been saved while printing this PDF". The word "Upto" is missing a space.

Replicate the Adobe Acrobat Internet Explorer extensions over to Microsoft Edge Chromium
Most people are moving to Microsoft Edge Chromium and within our company we plan to move to this browser as a default.
These new chromium browsers don't support Active x and OBH's.Currently the Adobe Extension from the Chrome Web Store seems to be the only Extension Solution to open PDF's from Edge Browsers but all this does is open the document in the installed Application and not within the existing Frame, as the Extension previously would.

Hand tool on touchscreen suggestions
Hello,
It would be nice to have the hand tool navigation on touchscreens include options for continuous pinch zoom (at the time of writing, the app zooms in steps) and momentum scrolling.
These features already work using a MacBook touchpad (for example).
Kind regards.

Create an option in UI to incorporate an option to retain multiple files opened in the software with a single click
I work with many files in Acrobat Reader, like 5 files, the same files for days together. I would love to have an option where I can make Acrobat remember the files that I opened in the last session and restore the same with a single click (like that we get "Restore" when the program crashes and we open in just after that. This is simple but saves a lot of time from user end.

system menu from taskbar issue
Using Reader DC 2021.001.20145 on Windows 10 (20H2) in Desktop mode (tablet mode off).
When accessing system menu (restore, move, size, minimize, maximize, close) by clicking icon in upper left of window, the menu items work fine. But when accessing the same menu from the taskbar (hover, wait for popup, right-click on pop-up), the functions are ignored (minimize, move, size), act differently (close), or act strangely (maximize).

Option to save changes to all open documents instead of individual prompt for each
If I make changes to several open PDF documents, it would be better to have an option to Save All changes other than get a prompt for every PDF document.

Prompt Automatic updates
Hello there,
Can you add a prompt for updates?
"Adobe Acrobat requires an update that will require a restart before using the application. Update and restart or install later?"You see, when Acrobat updates automatically and I'm still running the app, I can still open things, but if Acrobat updates and I'm not currently running the app, then I can't open the app until I restart.
In terms of workflow this means that to access a PDF needed immediately for work I need to save and close everything, restart, then reopen everything. This took about 7 minutes without including reopening…1 vote -

manual duplex printing
Would be a magnificent addition if manual duplex printing could be selected for Adobe reader on Windows 10. Having read quite a few forums on the subject it would appear I'm not the only person who desires this.

Scrolling preferences window
Currently the preferences window is very hard to use and frankly, broken:
You can't scroll with a touchpad.
You can't scroll with a touchscreen.
You can't scroll with a mousewheel.
Scrolling over a combo box changes the setting >:(
Content doesn't scroll when you drag the scrollbar!
The preferences window cannot resize small enough for smaller screens.
Overall: infurating.
